A year earlier, Annabeth and Percy had gotten married, gone on their honeymoon and moved into a cute little apartment in New York. Annabeth owned her own, very well respected architecture company, and Percy was an MMA trainer. Annabeth had found out she was pregnant two months into their marriage and it was going really well.

Gender reveal

Annabeth's POV

I laid on the chair. Percy was at work so I was here alone. The nurse walked in and smiled "hello miss Jackson, I'm Abby. what can I do for you today?" she asked me sitting down in her spinny chair

"Well, I'm here for an ultrasound and I want to know what my baby is" I smiled and laid my hand on my swollen stomach

"Alright then" she smiled and grabbed a jar of blue jelly off the shelf. She grabbed a pair of gloves and a wand off the table.

I lifted up y white shirt and she put the jelly on my stomach. I sucked in a breath holy shit that's cold I thought to myself. She rubbed it around so it was an even layer over my stomach. She dragged the wand across my stomach and I heard the heartbeat of my baby. I smiled. She dragged it over and I looked at the screen, there was the shape of a peanut with fingers and toes.

"Well Mrs. Jackson, your baby looks very healthy, now time to see if we can see what they are" she smiled and kept dragging the wand across my stomach. She smiled "congratulations, you're having a baby boy" she took the wand off my stomach and wiped the gel off with a paper towel. I fixed my shirt and she handed me a DVD in a case. "We'll see you back here in a month," she smiled. I nodded and walked out of the room.

Gender reveal party

It was January 19th in Central Park. All of our family had arrived. I went around with a video camera asking what everyone thought it was going to be. Almost everyone thought it was a girl, except Sally.

"Annie, it's a boy, I know it is," she said and placed her hand on my shoulder "mothers intuition" I chuckled and smiled

After I finished filming everyone's opinions, it was time. Percy and I grabbed the smoke tubes and stood in front of everyone "3,2,1!" we all yelled. We twisted the tubes, causing the smoke to come out in bright blue. Everyone cheered and Sally yelled that she was right. I chuckled and wrapped my arm around Percy's waist

"We're having a little boy" he mumbled into my hair

"Yes we are" I smiled

5 months later...

I was laying in bed, my pillow laying under my very swollen stomach, my husband laying with his back to me. I sat up clutching my stomach, feeling something wet between my legs. I shook Percy awake as the cramps kept coming "Percy" I whispered loudly "PERCY" I said louder

"What?" he asked rolling over to face me

"My water broke," I said. He sat up instantly. Percy grabbed me a pair of sweatpants and one of his t-shirts. He helped me get dressed before helping me out to the car. I grabbed my phone and called Sally

"Hey Annabeth, is everything okay, it's 5 am" she sounded tired

"Percy and I are going to the hospital, my water broke," I said grunting

"Okay dear, Paul and I will meet you at the hospital, just remember to breathe," she said shuffling around the house "do you have the baby bag?" she asked me

"Percy, did you remember the baby bag?" I grunted, he looked at me with a knowing smile

"Yes, Annie. The bags in the trunk" he said
