Haze's POV:
I put my phone down on the coffee table and puffing out smokes from my lighted cigarette. I smile to myself, the brief conversation with Cassidy really hook me up. This is the first time I ever feel like this; I mean happy talking with someone even this is just over text messaging. Usually I'm all about business but with her, I feel a connection, human connection, I don't know I can't describe the feelings I felt right now. All I know I am happy and I can't help to tease her. She's so feisty and that's what I love about it. She doesn't cling for romantic shit like that, not like some girls I know who are all over me.
My mind wanders back to last Sunday where me and my friends are hanging out at The Cub3 downtown. We were drinking in a room disguised behind a wide two way mirror for some privacy and that's when my eyes caught her, sitting on a bar stool alone looking like an Angel with glass of juice in her hand.
My friends caught me staring and started messing around with me until it led us to the thousand dollars betting where I would text her anonymously and flirts with her. At first I refused it but once my Corporate HOD also known as my ass of a good friend told me that she is one of my employees. I was blown away with that fact, why haven't I realized her presence this whole time?
After few of forceful convincing from my friends finally the bet commenced. The bet was just to text her and flirt with her and they will give me 1k each. Well who doesn't want free money? I mean it just a text right; what can go wrong with that. So being the wise man I am, I accepted it without thinking twice and little did I know what faith have brought me to.
A loud beep echoes in my ears and cut me off my trance. I take my phone off the table and look at the text. It was an unknown number but I know it too well who it belongs to.
'Hey baby *smooch*'
I roll my eyes, this bit*h keeps bothering me. It just a few times fling and she said she's in love with me, yeah right. All she loves is my money. I delete her text and put my phone back down before continuing watching the show, finishing my cigarette.
