Cassidy's POV:
After a short walking distance to the Pacific with my brother, we finally sat down on a table that have a very classic banquet seating right next to a wide glass window that have a nice view of the city itself. We were attended by a female server called Lucy but she is just plain rude. Her eyes fixated on my brother like he was the only one sitting there and she's not even sparing me any glance.
She is playing the flirty shit like batting her not so long eyelashes with Cade and Cade being Cade just go with her flow but I know he feel sick inside. I mean I get it, he had that look that attracts attention around him especially female but he wasn't a player kind of guy and I have my parents to thank that to.
I clear my throat before she awkwardly pretending to straightens her shirt before her face finally shifted; looking at me with annoyance? Well you bitch. I swear in my head.
'If you're done gawking at him can you please leave us alone now?' I hear myself says to her.
'Right.' She says before smiling seductively at Cade and then excuse herself to the back but not before sparing me a death glare.
I roll my eyes and look at my brother with an amuse expression on him.
'What?' I scowl.
'Come on princess, don't be so jealous.'
'I'm not jealous.' I huffs.
'Yeah right...'
'She's a whore.'
'Cassidy, language.' He narrows his eyes on me when he heard me swearing.
'What is the truth thou. Ugh whatever...' I say dismissing him before he starts nagging me.
I look around before my eyes caught on a tall figure that is just walking into the front restaurant. We both lock our eye contact with each other before I quickly look away. My brother is now talking on his phone so I decide to check on my own phone just to avoid contact with my boss who just happens to be here with his business partner.
I open the text from earlier, 'Hey beautiful.'
I was about to close the text before suddenly it buzz again.
'How's your day?'
I sigh, I really don't want to text him right now in front of my brother but I desperately wanted to let out my feeling for the day. I can't share it with Cade obviously or else he'll go over protective on me if he knows a guy have developed interest on me. Well he used to be carefree but after my breakup with my ex, he vowed to protect me from any other douche who tries to get closer to me.
I know I shouldn't open up to a total stranger but then I just wanted to share how's my day since he asked me first so I do the thing I never expect I would do, I reply him.
'Hey... it's fine just a bit weird.'
As soon as I reply him, I get an instant reply, 'really how so?'
I was just about to text him back but my brother's voice stops me from doing that.
'Who are you texting?'
'Nobody.' I reply fast, 'I was just looking at my schedule after this. One minute please.'
He just nodded his head before scrolling on his phone again.
'I would love to share it with you but I kind of in the middle of something right now so talk to you later?'
'Okay, well enjoy your lunch beautiful. *Wink*'
I look at the text, lunch? How does he know I was out for lunch? Questions fill my mind but then I just shrug it off because logically it is 1 in the afternoon so he might just assume I was out for lunch. Yeah that must be it.
