A/N: Okay, no one requested anything so I'll just write this. I probably won't make anymore unless I get requests though, haha. By the way, this was made on 3/17/17 and it supposed to be after season two ends. Since everything written may become inaccurate as the series progresses I just wanted to have a disclaimer.
"What the hell are you doing?" Keith growled as you conspicuously threw your foot out in front of him. He, however, was able to avoid your leg. You rolled your eyes.
"Hey, you were doing the same earlier. I know you were trying to mess me up just a little while ago."
"I was blocking a shot that was about to hit you! This is a teamwork exercise."
"Doesn't fucking feel like it!" you shouted. You two looked like you were about to brawl when a feminine voice with a slight accent yelled.
"End training sequence!" Allura stormed over to the two of you, "You two are acting like children. Keith, you're the head of Voltron now, you can't let this get in the way during a battle."
You smirked at him and he just grit his teeth and glared at you. Your triumphant expression faded when the Althean whipped her head around to face you next.
"And (Your Name), I can't allow you to fight until you've worked on your teamwork skills. This has even gotten in your way of bonding with the blue lion," You crossed your arms and looked at the ground.
To be honest you've been waiting forever to have this chance to be useful to the team. When you and the others ended up in outer space you were the only one who wasn't a paladin. However, after Shiro disappeared Keith became the head of Voltron and Lance started piloting the red lion. Blue ended up choosing you to be his new pilot. You had bonded with Blue a couple of times but since you would throw many fits after fighting with Keith on a daily basis you never had the energy to go and bond with him.
"Can we try this again?" Allura said, breathing in deeply.
"No," you grumbled, "I need some time alone," you threw aside your weapon and stomped out of the room. You considered getting a snack to unwind. But Hunk would most likely be experimenting with the foreign herbs and spices in the kitchen and you didn't feel like dealing with his scolding. He hated when you and Keith fought. After much debate you decided to go and visit blue.
When you arrived you softly touched his paw. In response, his eyes glowed dimly and you heard him purr a bit.
"Hey, bud," you mumbled. You just stood in silence with your lion, enjoying the peace. You were too caught up in the tranquility to notice someone behind you.
"(Your Name)!" and excited voice called. You turned and saw your closest friend, Lance. You chuckled a bit.
"Hi, Lance," you greeted before bringing your attention back to the lion.
"How's Blue been treating you?" He asked as he approached your side. The lion seemed happier by his presence. His eyes glowed brighter and the purring grew louder. You frowned a bit.
"Fine. I don't come down here much, though. So he's obviously more loyal to you still," you sighed, "Why can't I do this? I'm messing everything up for you guys. I can't form Voltron with you all because I can't bond with a robotic cat, I can't fight for shit, and teamwork is a total fail since Keith's stupid face pisses me off every time I look at it. I don't even get why he hates me so much?"
Lance laughed a little, "Totally agreeing with you on that last part...except I dunno, it kind of is your fault he hates you."
You playfully stomped on his foot, "I didn't do anything to him."
"First week of training back at the garrison before he dropped out. You were on his team and screwed with his controls in the simulator."
"He gave me this shitty look-"
"Let's not forget when you mentioned a sensitive topic," he continued. You groaned at that.
"Look, I didn't know he hated talking about his dad. I regretted saying that as soon as it came out of my mouth," you defended.
"He doesn't know that," Lance retorted.
"Stop getting all serious and junk on me. I was just starting to calm down too."
"Talking with him and apologizing might be the first step to fixing all this. You want to be a part of team Voltron, right?" he smirked.
"Stop. You're the funny flirty friend not the philosophical one," you groaned.
"Just do it," he chuckled.
You had a short staring contest with him before answering, "Fine."
You made your way back to the main hallway. The closer you got to the training room the slower you walked. You were not confident in your communication skills. The last time you had a conversation that didn't result in fighting with Keith was that first day at the garrison. Back then you thought you two would be friendly, but you turned out to be dead wrong. What if this will turn out the same? What if he wouldn't accept your apology? You'd look pretty damn stupid, that's for sure. Much to your dismay you eventually arrived at the training room. You peered in. Keith was alone and fighting the gladiator with his transformed blade. You walked in silently and leaned against the wall, far from the mullet head and the robot. He finally defeated it a few minutes later. He took the end of his shirt and wiped his forehead with it, revealing his well toned body. You blushed a little at this.
'Damn he looks sort of hot- Wait, what?' you shook the thought out of your head and tried to hide your blushing face.
"Hey," you stupidly called over. You mentally slapped yourself for such a harsh attention grabber. He looked at you and narrow his eyes.
"What?" he responded curtly.
You sighed before walking to him since he obviously wasn't going to go to you.
"Look, I didn't really want to do this. Lance made me and I just thought this would be-" you stopped yourself when you realized you were rambling. Keith raised an eyebrow at you. You quickly broke eye contact, "I'm sorry, okay? It's my fault all this crap happened and the team is falling apart and stuff. I'm the reason the two of us haven't been really working to the best of our abilities. I wanted to apologize to you that day I said that thing about your dad to you, but my pride just wouldn't let me. Ugh, I probably sound stupid now. You can go ahead and tell me you don't accept this stupid apology and we can pretend it never happened and-"
You were cut off by something warm on your lips. Your mind soon registered that Keith was kissing you. You were internally screaming as you hesitantly kissed back, gripping at the sleeves of his usual black tee shirt. He broke away and turned his head to stare at the wall.
"It's okay," he muttered, his face flushed. He looked quite embarrassed, but it was cute. He looked like a kitten who was trying too hard to appear intimidating. You laughed at this and pulled him in for another kiss.
You didn't notice the figure in the entrance, however.
Allura sweatdropped, "Who would have thought those two would...oh dear this is all really confusing."
A/N: Sorry it wasn't the best. I just wrote this to clear my head. School's been rough for me lately. Thanks for reading!
