"What was that?" Isaac said. I'm sure everyone was thinking that by now. The principle came running into the cafeteria. Trying to keep everyone calm but failing miserably. People had got up from their lunch tables, trying to leave the school.

The girl who had screamed weakly made her way up to the teachers. Everyone at the table eyed her carefully, even me. She was limping and honestly, it looked like blood was on her shirt. I tightly closed my eyes and leaned into Isaac, hoping that what I just saw was my imagination. As I heard a few gasps, that answered my question.

It wasn't my imagination. It's real.

The teachers closely looked at the girls back, obviously being injured. Her cries were loud, very loud. I lifted my head up and looked around the lunch room. Everyone's attention was on the girl. Out of the corner of my eye, it looked like a black shadow quickly moved down the hall. I nudged my elbow into Isaac, hopefully getting him to look but I failed.

"Isaac! Did you see that?!" I say to Isaac, trying to keep my voice down.

"What? No?" He says. Breaking his attention from the girl and finally focusing on me.

"I just saw someone or something. I'm not crazy. I know someone is in this building. How else would that girl be like she is now? Someone's here and I need out." I get louder with every word of my sentence.

"Calm down Ashlyn, we'll get out!" Isaac starts to tell everyone at the table what I saw and I start to become impatient. I had a terrible feeling, something I knew I should be listening to but instead I'm sitting at this school, no one doing anything about the situation.

The sound of glass breaking is heard once again in the cafeteria and no one notices where the sound is coming from, it's just loud.

Stiles starts to panic, scaring me even more. Scott lifts Stiles' hands and makes him count.

"1..." Scott says.

Stiles struggles but repeats every number. I look at Isaac, trying to get an answer on what just happened but he obviously didn't know. I look at Stiles who is finally returning back to his normal state.

I hear someone clear their throat and look up to see the principle at the front of the cafeteria.

"Students... We cannot let anyone out of the building. A prisoner has escaped, so we are forced to put the school on lock-down. This problem will be solved quickly." He says and starts walking out of the cafeteria.

"How do we know he's not here?!" A student abruptly stands from his chair, making it fall and getting everyone's attention. "Glass breaking, that girl getting hurt! You all are doing absolutely nothing! I know I saw someone in black a minute ago, but no one listens!" The guy continues. He caught me at the "someone in black" because he wasn't alone. I saw them too.

"I told you," I whisper to Isaac and the anxiety kicks in. Everyone at the table starts planning a way out of the school.

"Let us out of here, it's better out there than in here. You know that!" The student continues on. The principle makes his way back and tries to calm the student.

"Everything will be fine, they're not here! Please. Stay calm. You're only making it worse."

The student ignores them and walks to the principle. There's no way I was going to be here. He saw them too. I knew I wasn't crazy and just seeing things.

"We're getting out of here," Scott leans in and begins to tell us his plan of getting out of the school. I wanted nothing more than that. Something had been telling me to get out for the past twenty minutes but there was nothing I could do.

..

After explaining everything to us, we had started walking through the hallways, trying to see if any of the doors had been left unlocked. We got to the end of the hallway and Scott stopped walking. We all stopped right after and he looked like he was trying to listen for something. For what? I have no idea. But it made me feel anxious. I felt like I was being watched every step I took.

"What is it?" Isaac asks.

"Nothing... I thought I heard something." Scott says back simply and continues walking. Isaac stares at him for a few seconds until I pull him by his arm and he starts walking. Finally, we found a door that would get us outside. Hoping it'd be unlocked and luckily, it was. I didn't think it would be. How'd we just get out of a situation like that so easily?

I have no idea but my heart is racing and I want to be home. We quickly make it into the car lot and I unlock my car, letting Stiles get in because he's being super panicky today. Isaac tells me he's coming home with me and we all part our ways, agreeing to meet up later.

...

"I need to call my dad." Stiles says, breaking the silence in the car.

"Go ahead. You don't have to tell me," I laugh.

"I left my phone at the house like an idiot, can I use yours?"

I nod my head yes and give him my phone. My car was low on gas so I decided to get some while he talked to his dad. Isaac went and paid for it, while I pumped it. He came back out and stood beside me, while rubbing my back.

"You okay, love?" He asks and kisses my cheek softly.

"I could be better," I say to him. "But, I feel safer since you're with me."

He smiles and gives me another kiss. As I'm finishing putting gas in the car, a man walks past Isaac and I, he stares until he can't see us any longer. A chill came over me and just looking into that mans eyes made me want to cry. Isaac told me to get in the car and I did.

Finally, we we're on our way back to my house and Stiles is being super quiet. I'm tempted to ask him stuff but I don't want to due to his anxiety and stuff.

"My dad said they haven't found the prisoner yet," he looks back at Isaac and I can see the worry on his face. "Meaning he's still out there...somewhere."

I'm scared, honestly. I've had too many strange things happen in the past week for this to be another problem. I feel Isaac's hand on my shoulder, he must've known I was worrying. It's crazy how easily he reads me.

...

We walk through the door of my house and I am quick to make sure the house is locked up. I'm hoping my dad is safe too. Isaac and Stiles go to the living room while I go get drinks for them. I see a note on the counter.

"Won't be back till tomorrow. Your cousin won't be in until Sunday! Love you."

I hate when my dad randomly leaves, that's the worst part about his job. He will leave unexpectedly.

I throw the note away and go back to the living room. I hand the drinks to Stiles and Isaac, while taking a seat on the couch.

Isaac scoots close to me and pulls me into him. I smile because no matter what, he's always trying to be close to me.

Stiles turns on the tv and we watch random stuff for at least three hours until finally Scott and them get here. Isaac wouldn't let me go to the door by myself but I knew I'd be okay.

We all go back to the living room and sit around, talking about the things that happened today.

"There's obviously someone or something behind it, but I don't like it.... Something is off and I have a bad feeling." Scott says and I feel the same way.
