One day later...
Jade walked the group to her apartment complex as it seemed to be really close to the tri skellion. Not before we stopped at Starbucks. According to Jade "Coffee soothes the savage sister."
It was early in the morning too, the sun shining down on us as we walked. The day was beautiful not a single cloud in the sky. Maybe later I would meditate out here as it was also a bit quieter in New York today than it usually was.
My mind went back to the day when the old team went to that beach. It was awesome until Sandman attacked us. Today was almost like that day. I sighed, wishing I could still have those old days back.
"Hey Danny quit daydreaming and come on. We need to catch my sister before she gets up." Jade whispered as we had arrived at her apartment room. She took the key from in her pocket and unlocked the door.
The place was huge, it might as well have been a mini house in my book. The furniture was aligned neatly and the place was so clean that it almost shined. There seemed to be a million game controllers and consoles decked around a 6 ft flat screen tv. Although there was a small problem to this mini heaven, the walls were a plain white. No pictures, no portraits, not even a single postcard on the wall. It was like they had been packed away to a place no one would or ever find them.
Peter gawked at the game systems as did everyone else. Jade just smiled at their reactions.
"Sorry the place isn't very clean. We don't usually have a lot of visitors. Selina doesn't usually have very many friends to bring over. " Jade stated, walking over to the consoles after setting the coffee on the kitchen counter. We all huddled around the controls ready to play when the bell rang. Jade sighed and began to get up but I put my hand on her shoulder.
"It's ok. You gave us a lot of hospitality, and I will return the favor by answering the door."
Jade immediately relaxed and looked at me.
"Good luck. If that's who I think it is, you'll need all the luck you can get." Jade sat back down with the others and began setting up the Xbox one.
I walked over to the door wondering; why Jade would wish me luck for answering the door? And who could it possibly be that's she's so afraid of? She's the new White tiger I guess. Why would she be afraid of whoever's at the door?
I opened the door to reveal an utter nightmare.
