Nate's POV

Kathy rested easily under my arm, her scent of cherries and vanilla drifting into my nose, and her head rested softly against my chest. We were watching Death Grip, one of those old scary movies.

"Look at the blood!" Dylan exclaimed. Kathy groaned, so to rephrase we were watching one of those old scary movies with my friend, and her younger brother, I smirked at her annoyance and rubbed her arm.

"Shit!" She cried,  when a spirit popped out, she cuddled closer into me and buried her face into my chest. I rubbed her back, and she looked up at me with frightened eyes. I tilted her chin and softly kissed her lips, a smile slowly spread across her face.

"Ugh!" Dylan groaned, he reached by his feet and brought his beer to his lips taking a long swallow, "Get a room."

I looked at Kathy and she had a mischievous look in her eye, "Good idea." I smirked. I stood up and grabbed Kathy's hand.

Dylan quickly jumped up from his spot and stood in front of us like a wall, "No, don't get a room! Stay right here." He yelled.

Kathy and I looked at each other before laughing and falling back on to the couch. Kathy jumped again from another surprise attack and caught Dylan's eye, "Please, that doesn't even look real!" Dylan screeched.

"Shut up, Dylan." I said, I wrapped my arms tighter around Kathy and whispered in her ear, "Don't worry, I'll protect you from the big bad monster." I smirked. She wrapped her arms around my neck and gave me a kiss, "My hero."

Dylan groaned, "Ugh, I'm going to need a cigarette to sit through this shit."

"Well can you please go outside to smoke that cancer stick?" Kathy groaned.

Dylan laughs, "Hell no! I'm going in my room." Dylan started towards the room before turning around to me with a cigarette already lit between his lips, "Nate, are you coming?"

Kathy looked up at me with hopeful eyes, I turned to Dylan and waved him off, "No, I'm okay man."
Dylan rolled his eyes and walked away. When Dylan left Kathy looked up to me with loving eyes, "Thank you." She smiled.

I smirked at her, "You can keep your thank you, all the stress I'm under at home I needed that cigarette. I think a kiss is more appropriate." I flipped Kathy over making her giggle, before kissing her lips. Her hands became tangled in my hair and my lips moved to her neck. She gasped and ran her hands under my shirt. I groaned  and kissed her lips again.

A constant thumping sounded through the apartment making the both of us stop our session. Kathy sighed in annoyance, "Damn it, Dylan."

I rolled my eyes, what the hell was he doing? He was probably mad I didn't smoke with him, I tried to keep my frustration at a low, but it took a lot to hide that I was annoyed. Just as I was turning the hallway I ran into Dylan, "Why are you guys being so loud! I'm going to puke!" Dylan exclaimed.

"What!" I shouted with clenched fist.

"That thumping!" Dylan yelled.

"We thought it was you!" I said, the thumping sounded again even faster. I hated these thin walls. "Come on." I said.

"Hold on." Dylan smiled and went to his room. I walked past Kathy who peered over the couch at me and headed to the door, "Where are you guys going!" She asked shocked.

I walked over to her and kissed her forehead, "To find out where that thumping is coming from." I said. Kathy made a move to follow but I shook my head, "Stay here." I said. Kathy nodded.

"Alright, Natey ol' boy! Let's get to work." Dylan walked towards the door with a baseball bat in his hand.

"Why do you need a bat!" Kathy asked in utter shock. Dylan looked down at the bat and let out an insane chuckle, "Just in case we need to make our point clear." Dylan smiled, I smirked at him, before kissing Kathy one last time and walked out the door.
