8. Telling the World

- Niall -

"C'mon sweetie, we're going to be late for the press meeting" Your husband warned loudly as he ran through the house to get everything you would need for the day. "I'm going!" You yelled running down the stairs. The past few days had been a wreck, preparing speeches, all sort of answers for all sort of questions. You weren't used to this. Of course you were used to the fame and the headlights but never to go on a talk show and tell the whole world, while they had their focused eyes on you, that you were expecting. You looked at yourself in the mirror for some brief seconds and went out of the house heading towards the car where Niall and the driver were waiting for you. "Are you nervous?" The blond boy asked you once in the car. "Very" You answered holding his hand and squeezing it slightly. "I'm right here with you, everything will be fine okay?" Niall kissed your head and pulled you closer to him embracing you. Even though this was going to be nerve-racking you felt protected because your husband would be there if something went wrong.

"Everybody quiet! In 3..2..1.." The camera guy made a gesture to the talk show host letting him know they were on air. "Good morning! Today we have international sensation Niall Horan and his wife Y/N here with us" The camera focused on the both of you. Niall was holding your hand to keep you calm. "First, let's about the new CD that's coming out soon for 1D" The host looked at Niall and he answered, It was incredible how comfortable he seemed in this situation. "Amazing, we will be waiting impatiently to hear those new songs" And the host changed subject. He focused on you and started rambling. "This is your first talk show ever isn't it?" The first question was easy. "Yes, I am very excited to be here" You smiled. "It is great that it is on my show" You heard the crowd chuckle slightly as you did too. "It has come to my knowledge you have something to announce" The host didn't know what it was yet, but he had been warned you had a very exciting announcement. "Yes... we" You looked at Niall and smiled. "Are expecting a child" As soon as you said this the crowd screamed and cheered and the host cheered along with the crowd and congratulated you. Now the whole world knew. You realised you had nothing to worry about, they were happy news and most people would be very happy for you.

- Liam -

"Baby have you seen my new blue shirt? The one with the black collar bone?" Liam asked you as he entered the living room where you were on your computer designing some new decorations for a client. "Hm... have you tried the laundry basket?" You suggested. "Yeah, it's not there because I haven't worn it yet" He looked at the computer screen and said. "That looks beautiful baby" And kissed your cheek. "Thanks hunny" You answered smiling. "Go look in the pile of clothes I have on my wardrobe, it's probably there" Liam thanked you and ran up the stairs to find that shirt. You decided to take a break from work and go check the news and Twitter. As soon as you opened the news tab you gasped and your eyes wided. "Liam!" You shouted. "Come here, quick!" The loud footsteps down the stairs were very audible as your husband reached the sofa. "I'm here, I'm here, is everything okay?" He looked at you worried and then at the computer screen you were looking at. His facial expression changed from worried to mad. "What the hell is that?!" He reached for his phone. "I have to call my rep, this has to be taken down" On the screen there was a top article with a photoshoped picture of you with a very visible pregnant belly. In real life you weren't showing but that magazine made it seem like you were. "How the hell did they find out Liam? I'm not even showing!" You changed to the Twitter tab and it was exploding with notifications from fans asking for the truth. "Oh no..." You groaned. You didn't want the pregnancy to be known so early because they wouldn't leave you alone. "No! I want the article taken down now!" Liam was arguing with his rep on his phone. "I don't care! The picture is fake and we don't want to come forward with this, sue the freaking magazine!" He was very angry, you rarely saw him like this. You set the computer down and sighed waiting for Liam to finish the conversation. "I can't believe this has to be like that. Fine" And he hang up. Your husband looked at you sitting down by your side. "We have to come forward, deny the picture but tell the truth about the pregnancy. And we can't sue the magazine because the information in the article is partially true, I'm sorry Y/N" He explained caressing your back. "I figured... let's do it then. Maybe take a picture too?"
