My Shining Sun - Lillie x male reader (Pokémon)

Chapter 6: Back to Beginning

You wake up, because someone is trying to wake you up softly, and you feel a hand touching your shoulder a few times. As you open your eyes, Lillie is standing next to you, as in a dream, whispering:
"Y/n, wake up..."
Moaning and tired, you look into her beautiful green eyes, and say:
"G-goodmorning, Lillie... What time is it?"
She sighs:
"Goodmorning? You mean good evening! It's already 5PM, Y/n! I was worried!"
5 PM?!
"Well, to be honest, I haven't slept well in ages. I'm sorry, Lillie... have you been waiting for me inside this whole time?"
"Yes, I have... on the sofa in the living room, reading books. But it doesn't matter."
"Yes, it does, I'll spend the rest of the day together with you to compensate your time alone today!"
She laughed:
"Alright! Oh, and I wanted to ask you if you wanted some coffee. I know you like that!" she says as she hands you a hot cup of coffee. You love coffee, and to be honest, you're pretty addicted to it...
"Wow, I didn't expect that! Thank you, Lillie!"
You smile and blush.
Is it because of the warmth or because of something else?
She smiles and also blushes:
"No problem, Y/n. I'll be waiting for you in the living room."
You sigh: Arceus, thank you for Lillie
You put on your clothes and go to the living room. There she sits, of course still in her "Z-powered form", which made her even more beautiful than before, as when a smith casts gold on the edges of silver armour.
"Come on then, let's get-" You were saying when your mother runs over to you and shouts:
"Y/n, how long did you sleep?! And leaving your kind friend whole alone for nearly the whole day?! What a gentleman of a son I have!"
You laugh:
"Sorry mom, it won't happen again, I promise."
She also laughs:
"It's OK, son, for once." She winks.
You continue:
"Ok Lillie, time for some training! Wait... what Pokémon did you have again?"
"Oh wait, I didn't tell you! So my current team is a Squirtle, a Rattata, a Sandshrew and a Meowth like you have. They are all cute and cool, but they aren't very strong..."
You laugh:
"Well, you can leave the Meowth here, so he can stay here to play with mine!"
Suddenly you remember something:
"Oh Lillie, I remember, I had a gift for you! Give me a second!" You say as you sprint to your room, search in your drawer and take a Pokéball. You walk back to Lillie and hand over the Pokéball.
She coos:
"For me?"
She throws the Pokéball when you nodded. Your present was an Alolan Vulpix you found when you went to the Pokémon League the first time, on Mount Lanakila. She shouts in happiness:
"OH MY GOD Y/N, it's the cutest Pokémon I've ever seen!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!" Overwhelmed by happiness, she hugs you and you feel a tear that wasn't yours falling on your shoulder. You blush as you see your mother smirking again. After the hug, Lillie picks up the Vulpix and hugs it as well, and it licked her face. It was the cutest thing indeed.
"Now, Lillie, this Vulpix can evolve into a very strong Alolan Ninetales once. Let's get training the-"
The doorbell rings: Hau walks in, as he always does, just like Kukui. He screams:
"Hey Lillie! Hi, Y/n. Wow Y/n, is that a new Pokémon you've caught? It's super cute, I love Vulpix's!"
You shake your head:
"No, it's not mine, Lillie's caught it." You wink at her and continue:
"She even has Pokémon you've never seen, from Kanto! We were just about to train..."
Surprisingly, it's your mother that answers:
"Hau...?"
"Yes, auntie?"
"If you'd help me now with preparing supper, we could all eat together! I have some malasadas for you as well!"
"All right auntie, I'll help!"
"Thank you, Hau" Your mothers says and winks at you.
"My pleasure!"
You'd thank her later, and walk outside with Lillie:
"So, Lillie, what would you like to do? Some training, catching or just relaxing?"
"I think I've enough Pokémon for now, but I just can't beat the Kanto gym leaders, and I don't like battling..."
You laugh:
"You don't like battling... yet! So again, what do you want to do next?"
She thinks:
"Let's do some... shopping. We can train tomorrow, since you nearly slept the whole day!" She said laughing.
You laughed too and said:
"You're right, shopping it is then!" As you called your Charizard- glide, and you flew up fast. Suddenly you feel 2 arms wrapped around your chest. You blush, luckily she didn't see. You realised she was a bit afraid of the high speed:
"Do I need to go a bit slower?" You ask. She immediately answers:
"No, it's fine."
You were alright with that, probably even more than alright. It wasn't far from your house to Hau'oli city, unfortunately...
When you arrived and helped Lillie to get off Charizard, you two immediately went to the apparel store, to the saloon( hairdresser) and to the shopping district. There you just sauntered past the different shops but you didn't buy anything. At the saloon, you decided it was time for a haircut, it was too long, so you cut it shorter. At the apparel store, you decreed to wear contacts, like Lillie. You picked y/c. You step out the fitting room, and when Lillie sees you, she says:
"Hey Y/n! Something has changed..."
You laugh:
"It looks like we have something in common now" Referring to that time long ago, when Lillie gave you the lens case.
She sees your eye colour and starts to laugh too:
"Ow waw, Y/n, your eyes! Haha! The y/c fits you perfectly!"
You blush:
"Thanks! But now it's time to buy something for you! Let's see..."
Lillie and you searched for some fitting clothes. You see one you like:
"I like this one, Lillie!"
"Hmmm, I don't..."
You found another one:
"This one, then?"
Lillie shook her head:
"It's okay... but not like: Waw, it's so beautiful, you know?"
You laughed:
"Yes, I do. We'll find one like that, I promise!"
You searched on, and in a few minutes you found a astonishing dress.
"Lillie, take a look at this! This is certainly the one you're looking for!"
... No response. You turned around, and there was not a single person in the shop.
"Lillie?!" You shouted, but still, no response. You dropped the dress and went outside. The beachfront was just one, big street. You ran back to the side of the shopping district, and luckily you found her at the Pokémon center, countered by 2 persons, dressed in black. Fully black, with a red sign on the chest...Those weren't Team Skull grunts... you decided to watch before intervening. The two suddenly threw a Pokéball, and a Koffing and a Zubat came out. You picked up your Pokéball, just to make sure Lillie was safe. You still waited. Lillie chose Squirtle, but it did only damage the Zubat for a bit, for it was no match for 2 Pokémon. You smiled as you saw her next one was "your" Vulpix. The Icy Wind killed Zubat and froze Koffing! They both withdrew their Pokémon, and tried to run away. Now was the time to intervene: you threw the Pokéball over their heads, and out came Silvally, which blocked their way out. You first quickly hugged Lillie, who nodded when you asked "are you OK?" and then confronted the two men:
"Tell me who you are, where you come from and who your boss is. Tell me truly."
One of the two, both probably some kind of grunts, spoke up:
"We are grunts of the notorious Team Rocket. We came with the ferry from Kanto, and recognized this girl."
Team Rocket? Those were tales the elders and my parents told me, back then. One kid named Red disbanded team Rocket like 20 years ago, and later on, a kid named Gold did the same thing when team Rocket was reborn...
You shook your head:
"Team Rocket was disbanded long ago!"
The grunt laughs:
"Our leader Giovanni came back, more powerful than ever, and now nobody can stop us!"
"Perhaps not, but it has lost 2 of it's grunts already, by a girl who doesn't like fighting!" You say as you call the police, and Silvally made sure they didn't escape.
The police arrested the grunts and put them in prison. You were still worried though:
"Lillie, did you know those people?"
She answered, nearly in tears:
"I didn't, but they pulled me out the shop and wanted to take my Pokémon! My poor Vulpix!"
Vulpix gave a lick to her face, and she giggled.
"Everything is OK now, and I would have been there for you if you were in real danger. But we should watch out for this Team Rocket: Team skull fears me, they wouldn't even fight me. But team Rocket is more disciplined, more powerful... But they'll never come to Alola often, we're safe here."
Lillie nods, still a bit in a shock:
"You're right... I was so terrified..."
You tried to comfort her, just to take away the last fears. She accepted the hug and let her tears flow. You encouraged her:
"Hey, you did well! You defeated 2 grunts of probably the strongest gang in the world! With only 2 Pokémon!"
You feel her smiling, and you keep on talking:
"Well, let's get poor Squirtle to the Pokémon Center!"
Lillie waited patiently by Squirtle's side 'till he was fully well.
She's a good trainer.
As you left the Center, you remembered something:
"Oh Lillie, I had something for you! Follow me!"
You start running back to the shop, picked up the dress, purchased it easily (you had much money from the ultra beasts mission), walked to Lillie, who was waiting outside:
"Close your eyes... and open them" You say, and her eyes widen when she sees the dress:
"Oh my word, Y/n, it's gorgeous! Thank you so much!!!" She exclaimed, and then, she suddenly gave you a kiss on your cheek, which you feel turning red already. That reminded you of something:
That person, who's name was Red, is that the same Red who fought team Rocket? It has to be!
That kiss made your day, and full of energy, you made your way back home, on foot now, talking and laughing with Lillie. When you rang the door, Hau opened it, to your surprise. You totally forgot about Hau, but you didn't mind. You enjoyed eating with your best friends, or perhaps even more than best friends, only Gladion was missing. Mom prepared some wraps, and she buyed some malasadas for Hau. Late at night, Lillie, your mom and you waved Hau goodbye, and it was time to get some sleep. You once again pulled the blanket over her:
"Goodnight, Lillie" You said with a smile.
She hugged you once again, saying:
"Night night, Y/n!"
Walking to your chamber, you were still thinking:
A lot of hugs today... Team Rocket, and Red... What was that other one's name? Blue? I'll search for some information about him tomorrow.
And with those thoughts, you fell asleep immediately, as a rose in the Alolan sun.

Chapter 6, check! I  do love writing about Lillie, I think she's the best Pokémon character so far! What do you think about her? Anyway, see you guys in the next chapter!
