"I drive your truck. I roll every window down, as I burn up every back road in this town. I find a field, I tear it up. Till all the pains a cloud of dust. Some days when I'm missing you this much. I drive your truck." -Lee Brice, I Drive Your Truck
"How far do I have to go to make you understand? I wanna make this work so much it hurts. But I just can't keep on giving, go on living with the way things are. So I'm gonna walk away, and it's up to you to say. How far." -Martina McBride, How Far

"So, have an idea." Owen says as he stands next to me helping to finish cleaning up lunch. He just finished putting Jenna down for her second nap. I look towards him raising my eyebrows. I see that it's about 1:00pm, on the clock behind him.
"That's dangerous, you and ideas? Maybe I should take Jenna and hide." I say teasingly, before I kiss his cheek. He just shakes his head at my teasing. "But really what is this idea of yours?"
"Well we've been busy for a while and I think we deserve a break. So how about we go out for dinner tonight?" Owen asks as he puts his arms on either side of me trapping me between them.
I grin reaching up and moving his hair away from his eyes. "If that's your way of asking me to go on a date with you. Then of coarse. One thing though, unlike the last date you have your daughter to worry about. I don't mind if we take her, but not sure what your brilliant plan includes so..."
"She loves Logan, we can just put him on babysitting duty. He won't care. He likes her well enough." I laugh leaning my head against his chest for a minute.
"Alright well, you stay here and listen for your little baby and I have to get back to work." I push my self away from him, and through his arms heading for the door. "And no I'm not talking to Logan. That one's on you." And with that I step outside into the chilly air.

I stand in front of my closet flipping through my clothes, then walk over and dig through my dresser. I groan exasperatedly, swinging open my door I walk down the hall and smack against Owens door. I stand against the wall waiting for him to open the door to his room. Thirty seconds later he opens the door, without a shirt on. I stare at him for a moment before returning to the reason I'm banging on doors and walls. "How am I supposed to get ready if you won't tell me where we are goin'? It would be helpful if ya'd give me any vague idea." I say throwing my hands up. He starts laughing, at my predicament. "It ain't funny jerk!" I say smacking him on the shoulder.
"Just wear something comfortable, it's just dinner B." He tells me as he pushes my mess of auburn hair out of my face. "Calm down, it isn't like this is our first date, we've gone out before."
"To a movie, and I just wore pajamas." I mutter, turning back to walk to my room.
Once in my room, I close the door behind me. I flop backwards on to my bed and stare at the ceiling, I grab my pillow and put it over my face, I groan and sit back up. I walk over to my closet and pull out a simple light purple dress. I look at it for a moment, and put it back, deciding instead on a dark pair of jeans and a nice shirt. I throw on a light make up, before grabbing an old pair of TOMS from the bottom of my closet.

Owen pulls into an empty field a ways from the house, and parks the truck. He hops out, walking around to my side opening the door. I notice one of his old bible sitting on the dash and grab it as I hop out. I smile at him and follow him to the tail gate. I climb into the bed of the truck, opening the bible to a random page. Owen turns on the radio and pulls out a travel lantern, because the sun is going down. Philippians 4:13 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' I've always loved this verse (A/N: I really do its one of my all time favs) and love the reminder that as long as we believe and even if we don't God is always there and, with that we can do anything.
Owen and I sit listening to the radio and talking for about 45 minutes, and then at around 7:30 we get back in the truck and head for home. After the twenty minute drive we walk inside the house, and I head up to my room, smiling as I see Owen walk into Jenna's room in order to say goodnight.
