"Come on, sweetheart. You don't need to be afraid. I won't hurt that pretty face of yours if you'd just spill the information. There's no need for violence, hmm?" he crooned, while holding a knife dangerously close to my face. His voice echoed around the empty warehouse, creating a eerie effect."Please! I don't know anything! Let me go!" I whimpered, my body shaking as the blade inched closer. My voice cracked in desperation, but it seemed as if he didn't hear it.
"We already know that the Association gave you a message using a code in a text. There's no way out, honey. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Look, I'm even giving you the option to choose." he leaned his face near mine and I could clearly see his crooked yellow teeth with few missing spots.
"But I don't know who the Association is! I don't even know why I'm here! Help! Someone, please! Help!" I screamed. His face contorted in anger and his hand struck my face, causing my head to whip. My face felt numb from the stinging pain.
Suddenly, the door banged open and a skimpy-looking man limped forward. "Boss! The marketers from China are on the line, asking for you. Apparently, their shipment hasn't arrived yet and they are becoming suspicious." the guy reported while slightly bowing down.
Rustov turned away from me and rolled his eyes at his good-for-nothing henchman. "Go tell them that I will be there soon, after I take of some business." he gritted out through his teeth, his fist clenched tightly.
"But sir.. It's the Hong Group. They're the biggest company in their country; I.. I... don't think it's a good idea to keep them waiting..." the poor man mumbled while looking down.
I glanced at Rustov. "The Hong Group? THE Hong Group? You're working with them? I thought they were really hard to get in contact with since they're so famous... what shipment is he talking about?" I murmured.
Rustov grinned at me. "Let me tell you something, young lady. We have connections to the top of the food chain, you get me? That gives me the authority to either kill you right now or torture the information out of you. So, which option would you like?" he asked, seemingly too happy, which didn't match his horrifying words.
I felt tears stinging my eyes. "I told you I don't know anything! I just went to work this morning and was on my way home when you guys abducted me!" I cried out.
He shook his head and slowly walked closer to me. "Tsk, tsk... I gave you several chances to confess. I thought you were smart, but I guess not. Such a waste of a pretty face..." he whispered in my ear behind me while I flinched away.
As I moved away from his face, I methodically stood up quickly, hitting Rustov's body with the chair leg. While he was stunned, I ran to the nearest wall and swung my body so that the chair that I was tied to will shatter to pieces. Thank goodness the chair was wooden, so it broke relatively easily.
I quickly threw off the tight ropes around my arms and noticed that Rustov was back on his feet with his knife in hand.
"Oh ho ho... I knew you weren't just an ordinary girl. I like the feisty attitude and the fire in your eyes." He smirked as he charged towards me.
I sidestepped to the right in a split second, so he missed the knife jab, but he retracted his arm to attack me once more. Before he could reach me, I lowered my body and swept his legs under him, causing him to fall with a loud thud.
I pinned his arm down, but since he was a well-built guy, we struggled a bit. I jumped off of him and got into a defensive position. Rustov picked his knife up again and began slashing his way towards me.
I dodged the blade and I could hear it whoosh by as it missed me by few inches. I quickly kicked his wrist and he immediately dropped the knife. I turned around and did a round kick to his face, making a clean contact. Rustov staggered, but managed to stand upright.
"I don't have time for this, let's get it over with." Rustov seethed, as a bit of blood trailed down his mouth.
My watch beeped right then, signalling that I only had 5 more minutes left. I looked back up at Rustov and sneered. "You took the words out of my mouth." I replied cheekily and jumped into the air, kicking him right in the torso. He recovered quickly, and threw a punch at my guts. I felt my breath whoosh out of me and I stumbled backwards.
Rustov stepped closer and wiped his bloody lips with his sleeves. "Aww, did that hurt, sweetie? It'll be alright; the pain won't last long." he taunted as I stared daggers at him.
We both charged at each other, yelling at the top of our lungs. Right before we would have collided, I dropped to the floor and slid between his legs. I sprang up immediately and kicked his back really hard before he had any time to process what had just happened.
He fell face-forward onto the floor, and groaned as blood poured out of his broken nose. I stepped closer and placed my knee on top of his back and kneeled, digging my kneecap into his skin. He screamed out in pain and I slammed down my heeled foot right next to his face, effectively shutting him up.
"Aww, did that hurt, sweetie?" I taunted him, like he did to me before. "Or is it your pride that's hurt more by the fact that you got beaten up by a girl?"
Rustov growled and thrashed around, trying to shake me off. I harshly grabbed the back of his neck and pressed down, immobilizing him.
Suddenly, my watch went off, alerting me that the backup the Association had sent had arrived. As if on cue, the door slammed open once again and multiple agents in bulletproof vests charged in with guns ready to aim.
"Right on time~ Sorry babe, but I gotta go. These boys will take good care of you... Good bye!" I smirked, as I blew an airy kiss towards him.
Rustov let out unintelligible shouts as the agents swarmed him and took him away. I grinned and walked out of the warehouse. I put on my sunglasses and fixed my hair in a tall pony tail, while surveying the scene before me. I nodded in satisfaction and walked away from the spectacle.
Another case finished.
