Hase shifted from his right foot to his left foot. "It's your turn to keep watch." Witchey twitched then opened her eyes. "Mmmhmm." She hoisted herself up. Witchey jumped and landed on the one unoccupied shelf in the shack, the only exit.
Her long black claws gripped the side of the building. The amulet was heavy, so it was a relief when she reached the roof. The moon was barely visible through the thick smog. Witchey narrowed her eyes. Something had moved in the street.
It was some sort of animal. It was the size of a large dog, with multiple heads and long, yellow teeth. An amulet swung from its neck, glowing the same way hers did. But instead of a dark green, it was a vibrant orange. Witchey hoped her dark fur had helped her stay hidden. She crept closer.
The creature's yellow eyes landed on Witchey. She shivered. It crept closer. "My territory." It said. Both amulets glowed brighter. Witchey hissed. "Get out." She took a step forward, tiny compared to the monster in front of her.The creature lunged.
A crack like thunder erupted from the amulet and a bright light flashed. The creature had disappeared. The light slowly faded away. Witchey's eyes were wide with confusion. What was that?
Hello. Witchey jumped then looked at the amulet. She had a crazy idea. What if it was the amulet that was talking? She chuckled. The Furw is gone now. Witchey's idea was confirmed. The voice had definitely come from the amulet. "Furw?..." The creature. The giant, two headed one that just tried to eat you. Witchey was pretty sure she was going crazy. I am a cat with an IQ of 137... I'm already crazy. Get back to the shack. Make sure no Furws are nearby. Witchey ran, hoping her pack was OK.
Witchey climbed up the side of the stone and slipped in. Everything looked the same as before. She crept up to Scrah. "It's your watch." She whispered. She layed down on her shelf, the image of the Furw haunting her dreams.
