   JESSICA'S POV

I walk into the kitchen and I know that my mom is going to ask me for a favor, but I have to eat before breakfast so I have no choice but to enter the room.

"Hey Jessie, do you mind picking up some things at the super market after you get off from school?", said Sharon (Mrs. Matthews).

I really don't want to go to the store but, I won't have much of a shot at saying no. "Sure thing, mom."

"I'll make you a list so you can remember everything, if I don't we both know how well that is gonna turn out!" She always makes fun of how I don't have that good of a memory. Although, sometimes I find it funny that she forgets things often too, it must be in the genes! "Gee thanks," I said.

My sister, Alexa, walks in the kitchen and decides to join in our conversation, as usual. I have to drive her to school since she is a Freshmen now. Unfortunately, we go to the same high school (Eagleton High).

"So, what are you guys talking about?", she says. I quickly respond, "Umm let's see here, we were just talking about how the principal called and said that you have detention on Saturday." Of course, this wasn't true at all, I just made it up because it will potentially scare the crap out of her.

She starts to panic and turns to mom, "That can't be possible! It has to be a mistake! Mom please tell me that Jess is just joking with me!?!"

As she tries to keep her self from laughing mom says, "Honey, you do not have detention and yes, your sister is just kidding around with you like always. You both need to get going and Jessie, here's the list."

I dread going to the store later, mostly because of this guy that works there. His name is Jared James. He is literally the biggest jock I have ever met. He is the star of the baseball team and an all around player. How would I know this? He has manipulated some of my best friends and completely turned their lives upside down. I had Chemistry with him last year and I could never even bring myself to look at him. He makes me sick to my stomach. I would never date a guy like him, EVER.
