JESSICA'S POV
"Are you going to take me to the store with you?", Alexa asks excitedly.
"Why do you want to go anyway?", I said out of annoyance.
She looks at me like I am entirely too dumbfounded and says, "Jess, you know who works there, Jared freaking James, he is honestly the love of my life!"
"Well, honestly he is too old for you. You just turned fourteen a week ago and he is like seventeen, going on eighteen. I will have to take you anyway because you don't have anyone else to take you home. Just be ready to go when we get out of school."
JARED'S POV
"What's up man!", and that would be my best friend Shane Noble. I turn around just before he tackled me. He always rough houses so you'd think I would dodge it, but not yet apparently.
"Bro, you know I hate when you do that!"
"Lighten up, J", He tries to reason with me, like always. "So, what are you doing after school? I thought we could go to the movies and maybe find some girls to hang with? Sound good?"
"I have to go to work right after third period and even if I didn't, we already talked about this, I don't want a relationship right know."
"Alright, alright, have fun at work then", Shane said.
After third period I start making my way to the parking lot, but I noticed someone peeking around the corner. I can't quite make out who it is or if I even know who they are. When I reach the end of the corner I turn around to face a girl who looks kind of adorable.
She is wearing an off-white, flowy, dress shirt with a pastel pink cardigan along with blue jeans and white high top converse. She is a stunning brunette with hazel eyes and she definitely rocks her glasses like no one I have ever seen. But, I don't think she thinks the same way about herself as she should.
I purposely try to find her eyes, but she can't seem to look at me so she keeps her focus on the floor and walks into the ladies room. I have no choice but to keep walking, I can't be late for work again. Am I stupid for not talking to her?
