A Simple Mistake (Sing! Fanfiction) Johnny x Ash.

A Rival?

"Simmer down everyone! Now, Miss Crawley and I have some news for you all, starting from, we have a new animal joining us. Her name is Claudette." Buster announced as a young gorilla walked out, she wore a pink t-shirt with the word "let's sing!" written on it along with long blue jeans and black and white shoes. Johnny looked at Claudette who looked back at him, smiling. Ash frowned and rolled her eyes, Meena looked at Ash "You alright Ash?" "Oh yeah, perfectly fine." Ash said sarcastically as she walked away. "Ash where do you think your going?" Buster shouted, Ash turned around and faced Buster "No where Mr Moon." she grumbled as she walked and stood beside Meena, looking on the other side of Meena, she saw Johnny and Claudette standing side by side laughing together. Buster's voice broke Ash from her thoughts "So as you all know we have a show coming up within the next few weeks, and we need to get in all the practice we can before then, you all know the dril, run along and get practicing!" Buster announced and walked away, all the other animals walked away as well. Ash turned around to see Johnny and Claudette walking side by side, the both of them lost in each others eyes, Ash cleared her throat, Johnny turned and looked at her "O-oh A-Ash...t-this is-" "Claudette, I know. Mr Moon told us." Ash rolled her eyes "Hurry up and lets get practicing." Ash said but there was no reply. Frowning she looked at Johnny "O-oh sorry Ash, Mr Moon asked me to work with Claudette for this show, y-you don't mind do you-" Before Ash could speak Claudette butted in "Of course she doesn't, now lets go Johnny!" Claudette grabbed Johnny's arm and walked into another practice booth.

~Few minutes pass by~

Ash sat by herself, frowning as she thought of Johnny and Claudette. She shook her head as she thought to herself "Why am I jealous?! Johnny is my boyfriend after all..." Mike walked over to the angry teenager and sat beside her "Yo? What's on your mind kid?" Ash looked at Mike and raised an eyebrow "Since when have you given a damn about what's wrong with me?" Ash asked suspiciously, Mike let out a sigh of disappointment "I'm not all stone! I do have a heart! I'm not a heartless creature!". Ash sighed and looked down at the ground once again "Let me guess? Johnny and the new chick? What's her name....Lilo?" Mike questioned, Ash nodded in response "Her name is Claudette, not Lilo." Ash mumbled. "You've got nothing to worry about kid, Johnny is clearly your's. He doesn't seem like the boy that would cheat." Mike reassured the jealous teenager. "How would you know Mike?! He already strangled Lance and I thought he'd never do such a thing but he did." Ash spat, Mike looked at her shocked "Never knew the kid has it in him! Good on him!" Mike cheered but his cheerfulness quickly disappeared "Ash, don't worry about it. I think all of us know that Johnny wouldn't be a cheating dirt bag." Mike put his hand on Ash's arm "Don't let it stress you out Ash." Mike said before standing up and walking away. Ash stood up and sighed "I hope your right Mike..." Ash thought disappointedly before walking into once of the practice booths.

~Few hours past and practice is finished for the day~

Ash walked over to Johnny wiping her eyes before stopping. Johnny was sitting with Claudette, an arm around her comforting as she pretended to cry. Ash frowned once again "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE?!" Ash shouted, Johnny jumped and looked at Ash, his expression turning into a shocked look "A-Ash! H-hey it's not w-what you think!" Johnny stood up and walk towards her, Claudette followed Johnny "He's right Ash, it's not what you think. He was just comforting me." Claudette said sweetly, trying to reassure Ash. Ash shook her head "Whatever...let's go Johnny." Ash grabbed Johnny's arm before dragging him away from Claudette "B-bye Claudette!" he called out to the female gorilla, making Ash walk faster.

~Few minutes later~

On the way back to Ash's apartment, the couple remained quiet. Johnny stopped the car and looked at Ash "Ash...it wasn't what you thought." Johnny spoke gently, Ash tried her best to act tough and managed to smile "It's fine Johnny, I'll see you tomorrow morning." Ash smiled as she got out of the car, shut the door, made her way to her apartment door, unlocked it and walked in closing the door behind herself. Johnny frowned and hit his head against the steering wheel before speeding off. Ash made her way to her room, putting her guitar case down she plonked on her bed and curled up in a ball and began to cry "This is so childish crying over Johnny." Ash sniffed as she sat up, wiping away her tears. "Don't worry about Claudette, Ash. Remember what Mike told you, Johnny would never cheat on you!" Ash told herself before grabbing her pyjamas and heading to the bathroom to have a shower.
