I awoke from my slumber and noticed it was morning, had I really slept for that long? I hoped out of bed and decided to finally take a shower. I grab a simple pair of denim shorts and a loose band tee. Opening the door and walking to the bathroom which was thankfully vacant. I smelled really bad. Taking off my clothes and hopping into the shower then letting the heat of the water wash away any negativity. I felt as if this day would be a good one.
I hopped out of the shower and dried myself off and hopping into the clothes I had laid out earlier. My hair was still wet so I put it in a simple side braid and it ended around my ribcage. I searched the bathroom for some make up and found some concealer to cover the darkness under my eyes and I also applied some mascara.
Opening the door and letting myself out of the bathroom to be shocked by a boy not much younger than me hopping from one side to the other,
“Oh sorry” he said still hopping from one foot the other and he suddenly brushed past me and closed the door. I looked down the hall in both ways still confused by what just happened. Hmph. I went down the stairs and was greeted by the same group of guys as yesterday relaxing in the lounge room, I stopped mid step as they surprised me.
“Hey” I said with a slight smile as they were still strangers,
“Oh your up” Sam said coming out of the kitchen, Emily followed,
“Good morning” I said cheerfully and finished my venture down the stairs,
“Let me introduce you to the pack” Sam smiled turning to the boys, I felt eyes on me and I looked up to the boy who was staring at me yesterday. I gave him a smile before tuning back into what Sam was saying.
“This is Paul, Jared, Quil, Embry and that’s Jacob over there” he said pointing to each guy as he spoke their names. I got a response of hi’s and heys and a wink from what im pretty sure was Paul, I smiled and waved back.
“Who was that guy before up in the bathroom?” I asked,
“Hey im Seth” a voice said coming down the stairs, “Sorry I was busting to go to the toilet and didn’t want me peeing my pants to be your first impression of me” he said making me giggle,
“Im glad that wasn’t” I replied making him chuckle, “so you guys are all wolves eh?” I asked intrigued and they all replied with a laugh and a smirk affirming my question,
“So your all Sam’s bitches?” I said asking another question and their faces dropped and all I could hear was Sam’s bellowing laugh. The looks I got were scary “Guys im totally kidding” I said and the evil looks I got disappeared into a ‘pfft yeah I knew that’ kind of look.
“Are you hungry?” Emily asked and all the boys jumped and shouted yes,
“I was talking to aria! I just fed you guys” she said rolling her eyes,
“Yeah I am a bit thank you Emily” I said following her inside the kitchen. She whipped me up some eggs, toast and bacon. I was very grateful as this was the first time in a while that I had eaten. After I had finished I was helping Emily clean up and we exited the kitchen and sat on what was left of the couch that wasn't being taken over by over sized teenagers.
“So what are you guys doing today?” I asked the boys and they looked at each other for answers,
“We were going to go down to the beach” Paul said, “Do you wanna come?” Seth piped in,
“Ah maybe, I don’t have my swimmers” I said looking down,
“We don’t have to go swimming” Seth said, “OH LETS PLAY SOCCER” he jumped up running outside making us all laugh at his silliness. Seth was a great guy, a real mood riser. He was definitely a good friend to have around. We all got up and headed out to the beach. Apparently the beach wasn’t that far away, just through the forest. I followed everyone else and felt Jakes eyes constantly on me as we were walking. I don’t even know him and im already calling him Jake. He finally came over to me,
“Hey I'm Jake” he said with a smile,
“Hey” I said returning a smile,
“How do you like La Push so far?” he questioned not looking away from me,
“Its really beautiful, a lot nicer then Brookhedge” I said looking ahead of me as we reached the beach. It was so beautiful. The sunlight shining on the water making it look like thousands of crystals. The sun being out was a bit unusual but perfect for our beach plans.
“Alright teams” Seth said with a huge grin on his face,
“im not playing” Emily said receiving groans from everyone, she put her hands up in defence and went to go sit down on a nearby log. Sam soon followed announcing he wasn’t playing either which just left Jacob, Quil, Embry, Jared, Seth, Paul and I which was uneven,
“Don’t worry Collin will be coming down soon” Seth said making it even again. Seth carried the football in one hand kicking it in the air numerous amounts of time which was pretty impressive. Soon enough what I assumed to be Collin joined us.
“Hey im Collin and you must be aria” he said with a smile and I nodded and smiled at him and said a quick hello.
“Alright Paul, Aria, Jared and I are on one team and Jake, Collin, Quil and Embry are on the other” Seth announced and we all got into our teams. I was happy with my team; they were all really nice…
Our team huddled and we really just listened to Seth drag on about different sides to take, no one was really paying attention.
“Stay with me babe” Paul said giving me a wink, I blushed and looked down and back up and saw the others were death staring him and he awkwardly stood back.
“Okay the goals are between the two sticks standing up over there and the two rocks on the opposite side! LETS PLAY” Seth shouted making me laugh,
“Aria stay on Jacob okay” I agreed, confused, but agreed.
I lined up with Jake giving him a cheeky grin before Seth kicked the ball and me kicking off chasing the ball before Jake got a hold of it. I snatched from him and ran off in the direction of our goal but suddenly two strong, extremely warm hands gripped my waist and lifted me of the ground twirling me so I faced the other direction.
“Hey!” I shouted between laughter slapping Jacob’s arm making him laugh and sidestepping him towards the ball that Embry now had held of. Embry was too quick for me and managed to score a goal.
Not long after the game was over and we had lost and Seth was not too happy about it.
“AW im sawwyyy Seth” I said in a baby voice pinching his cheek which he brushed off,
“aw Seth don’t be like that” I giggled making him smile. I walked over to Jake and congratulated him on the win,
“Good game” I said extending my hand for him to shake. His big warm hands met mine and we shook. We stood there for a while just staring at each other which is not something I would normally do which is why this feeling was amazing. Just being with him made me feel complete, like all the hatred and worries of this world just flew away.
“Guys come on” Embry called out waving at us to follow which we did.
