Chapter 41 - woMAN.

When Liam woke up the day, he gazed out and saw the orange sunlight of the early hours set upon his sleeping eyes. His lifted up in bed and stretched, looking beside him.

Tina. They'd slept together.

Even though they didn't have sex, Liam was taught never to sleep with anyone until he got married. His eyes widened as he looked down at her, shaking her.

"T-Tina...." Liam whispered. "Wake up."

Bundled under Liam's covers, she creaked her eyes halfway open. She looked up at Liam, lifting up in bed.

"Shit!" Tina gasped. "Did......I fell asleep!"

"Yeah." Liam laughed. "Both of us."

And for the first time in 7 months, Tina felt wide awake. Why? Because she slept in a real bed, on a real mattress, with clean sheets. So that Wu wouldn't know where her and Liam was at, Liam gave Tina a towel, washcloth, soap, and toothpaste to get freshened up. All of the men had to prepare for burial, so Liam wanted her out there before Wu could find out where they were. After they both got freshened up, they stepped outside in the burial area, waiting for everyone to come out. 10 minutes later, Wu, two guards, and all of the other men walked out. Liam stood by the door, staring out at the men as Wu walked next to him, staring out as well.

"Where were you last night?" Wu growled.

Liam didn't answer him. He continued to stare out at the desolated area. Wu turned to him, giving him a serious look.

"Liam, I'll embarrass you in front of all these pitiful Americans, INCLUDING your boyfriend." Wu growled as he stared back out. "You better answer me."

Liam still didn't say anything. At this point, he was tired of his father and his controlling ways. Before Wu could say anything else, Pier wheelbarrowed only one body out of the camp for everyone to bury.

Tina closed her eyes and leaned on Liam's shoulder, not wanting to look. Liam sighed and placed his arm around her waist, trying to comfort her as much as he could. At this point, everyone in the camp knew that they were "openly" gay. Wu snatched Liam aside and took him into the building, keeping his grip onto Liam's arm. Liam snatched his grip out of Wu's, giving him an angry look.

"Get your hands off of me, father!" Liam snapped.

"Excuse me?" Wu snapped back. "Who the hell do you think you're talking to, Liam!"

"I am 20 years old, 21 on Monday! I am an adult and I am tired of you treating me like a fucking child!" Liam snapped. "Who I'm with is none of your goddamn business!"

"If you get smart with me again I'm gonna-"

"You're gonna do what? Pull a gun on me like you always do?" Liam scowled. "You're threatening me as if I can't go to the US and lead them STRAIGHT to what you're doing-"

"And you're acting like I can't tell and assure them that you sat here and watched as half the people in this camp died or was killed!" Wu barked. "So you better listen to what the hell I've got to say!"

Liam glared angrily down at his father as Wu placed his hands on his hips, pacing slowly back and forth.

"You've been running around this camp, hiding around, and not reporting to the damn camper like I've asked you to do!" Wu snapped. "Especially with some....BOY!"

"He is NOT a boy, father. He's a GIRL!" Liam snapped. "I've never shown interest in any men ever!"

Wu paused, smiling and nodding his head slowly.
