"Bob, please no. " Jack pleaded.

"He's right Jack. Get some rest. " Joe said. Jack frowned and left.

"Jackie you can come down now! " Ethel yelled. Jackie down the steps.

"Well now what? " Jackie asked propping Caroline on her knee.

"Divorce! " Ethel exclaimed.

"I agree. " Bobby said.

"Same here. " Joe said.

"Divorce?  I don't want to do that I still love him. " Jackie said.

"Then make it seem like you want a divorce that will scare him straight! " Rose said.

"What about a lawyer? " Jackie asked.

"Me! " Bobby smiled.

"It's settled! " Joe said.

A Week Later

Jack opened his mail box to Hickory Hill. After Jackie left the house seemed lonely and quiet.

Jack felt his jaw drop and a tear fall from his eyes. He saw a paper labeled Divorce.

Jack dialled Jackie's number. Another tear escaped his eyes.

"Hello? " He missed Jackie and how breathy and light her voice was.

"Hi Jackie it's Jack. "

"Hello Jack. "

"About the divorce. " Jack paused and let out a sobbing noise he heard Jackie try and stop a sniffle. "I wanna do what you want so I'll sign the papers. " Jack took a deep breath and tried nit to let out another cry.

"Thank.. " Jackie choked up.  "Oh Jack! " Jackie cried but knew she can't give in yet. "Oh Jack Thank you for being calm about this. " Jackie hung up and balled.
