Everyone was sleeping soundly until there was a crash from downstairs.
"Jack? Did you hear that? " Jackie's eyes widened as she shot up.
"Yeah I think we better go wake up everyone! " Jack and Jackie bolted towards the door and out the hall only to run into Kathleen, Tedd, Lee, Joe, Bobby, and Ethel.
"Bobby? Ethel? When did you get here? " Jack asked.
"An hour ago! " Bobby said.
"12:00 a.m? " Jack was dumbfounded by how late they came but let it go.
"We have to wake up Mom and Dad! " Tedd went. Then there was another crash and Joe Sr. and Rose came out of their room obviously confused.
"Was that first crash not for you guys? " Joe asked.
"No. " They all answered.
"Stay up here all of you! " Joe said.
"I'm coming! " Jack said.
"And me! " said Bobby.
"Same here! " said Tedd and Joe Jr.
"No! I'll have Jack and Bobby come. That's it! " Jack, Joe and, Bobby headed downstairs and saw a large shadowed figure by a broken window.
"I hope they don't get hurt! " Kathleen said starting to cry.
"Me too honey. " Rose said as everyone crowded in for a large hug.
Back down stairs Joe handed his sons a bat, abd a frying pan. They approached the figure little by little. At one point it moved and got tall.
They knew it was a man because they saw a small glimpse of his face from the moonlight as he stood.
"On three we hit him over the head. " Joe whispered to his son's as they peered around a corner.
"One. " Joe started.
"Two. " Bobby continued.
"Three! " The three took off and hit the man over the head.
