      Star's POV

"Calling Tom."

I looked at my mirror, hoping for Tom to pick up. I needed someone to talk to, and Ponyhead wouldn't be helpful this time. I held my breath waiting for him, waiting to hear his voice. Its not like I liked him, but... like I said, I needed someone to talk to. "Hello Starship," a voice welcomed. I let my breath go in relief. "So, what's up? Did that Marco do something to you?" he asked with worry-filled eyes. "I need someone to talk to about something, and I chose you." He looked at me in concern, seeing my terrible state.

My eyes were red and puffy from crying, my ponytail was undone, and now a tangled mess. My clothes were wrinkled, and worst of all... my hearts were turning green. "Star, your hearts..." he murmured, staring at the little green hearts on my cheeks. "Yes, its green. But that was not what I wanted to talk about. I need advice," I stated. "Advice? About what?" he asked. "How do you cope with your feelings? How do you stay strong in some of the most darkest and coldest events?" He rubbed his chin, humming. Then he chuckled. "You want advice from me about controlling emotions? Star, we both know I am not one to speak."

I wanted to smile but at the same time cry. He was right. "Haha, I should've thought about who to call," I tried to joke, but Tom saw right through me. "Star. Is something wrong?" he asked me. "No, everything is fine," I lied, waving him off. "Star! Please come downstairs! We need your help!" A feminine voice called. "Coming Mrs. Diaz!" I called back. "Princesses don't answer someone like that," Tom snickered. "I-I guess its the effects of staying here," I sighed. Tom nodded, knowing that this princess was breaking. "I will be back," I said, walking out of my room.

Marco's POV

I heard her talking. I heard Star talking to someone, and I knew it wasn't Ponyhead. The voice was deeper, and sounded more like a guy then a girl. Stealthily, I opened my room door, careful not to make a sound. As soon as I saw Star leaving her room and downstairs, I jumped into her room and closed the doors. "Marco... just what do you think you are doing?" A voice asked. I gulped, turning around to see who was talking to Star. It was her ex, Tom. "Tom? What are you doing here?" I asked, pointing a finger at him. "I was going to ask you the same thing," he growled. "I am here to get some answers," I replied. "Well I was here to answer questions for Star, but I guess I can help you Marco." I was hesitant as first, but Star needed me. "Is Star okay?" I asked, knowing what my response was gonna be like. "Are you stupid? That is the dumbest question I have heard in my entire life! Of course she isn't! Have you seen her? She is breaking! It is just a matter of time before....." Tom stopped, regretting his last line. "What?! Before she what?!" I snapped at the mirror. "No! I can't say.." Tom argued.

I wanted to hit that demon through the mirror, but I assumed it was best not to try and fight with him. "Please?" I asked more sincerely. "I need to help her, but I can't if I don't know what's wrong. Please tell me what would happen, I need to know so I can prevent it from happening!" Tom stared at me. "Marco, there are three outcomes to this. One, she could pull through and she will be fine. Two, she would stay like this forever, dark and gloomy. Or three, she will turn evil. It is possible though, for a fourth outcome, which is death." "WHAT THE FUU-" My screaming was cut off when I heard Star calling Tom. Scared of what she might do if she found out I was in her room, I jumped into her closet.  "Back Tom," I heard Star say. "I have to see her," I murmured as quiet as a mouse. I opened the closet door slightly, letting me see about a crack of her room. But that was just enough to see what Tom meant.

Star's hair was messy and devilish. Her eyes were dull, and her clothes were messed up. What scared me the most, was the small green hearts that sat on her cheeks. "Star..." I clamped my mouth with my hands as soon as I said that. Star turned around looking around her room. I could feel her presence getting closer, till I knew, she was by the closet door. "STAR!" A voice barked. It was Tom. I released a breath I didn't know I held. "Okay, well. Thank you Tom for helping me," she continued, turning back to Tom. He smiled and bowed. "Goodbye Starship." "Goodbye Tom." As soon as I heard Star walk out the door, I jumped out of the closet and ran into my room. "Green hearts? Evil Star? Death?" I screamed in frustration, pulling my hair.

  "Star.... what is going on?"
