When he was alone, AppleJack ran up to him and started yelling at him.
"Hey partner, I don't like how you be kissin' my friend all the time! Don't fight it, I saw it happen downtown earlier today!"
Rd overheard this and walked up to both of them. AppleJack played it off, like she didn't even yell at the stallion at all. "Hey AJ, I probably didn't introduce you to my boyfriend," AppleJack rethought that word.
"Boyfriend."
Oh, how she hated that word. The thought of rainbow dash having a boyfriend especially after considering the fact she loved her, made her cringe.
Rainbow dash continued, "his name is Waterflake, and he's very caring. And waterflake, this is AppleJack, my best friend."
Waterflake smiled politely while AJ smirked awkwardly. The scene was horrifying.
"Rainbow Dash, I hope you don't mind, but.. I need to talk to you. Privately." AppleJack said, a little bit shy.
"Uh.. alright. Waterflake, I'll see you soon!" Rd said, as she walked away with AppleJack, outside of sugar cube corner.
This was it, AppleJack thought. This is the day I tell Rainbow Dash my significant feelings for her. Just three words. Three words. That's all there is to it. Just say it, I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you, AppleJack continued to say inside her head.
"Okay, so.. Rainbow Dash?"
"Yeah?"
"Rainbow Dash, I--"
Something stopped AppleJack from saying those words. She must've thought it wasn't the right time (AGAIN), and she should wait some more.
"You what?"
AppleJack stood back up and walked away, to fight the embarrassment, going back into sugar cube corner.
"AppleJack?" RainbowDash said, sad that she had walked away from her.
Not so soon after, AJ spotted rainbow dash chatting with WaterFlake, but she couldn't tell what she was saying. They soon walked upstairs, and AppleJack followed behind, a few feet away.
When she looked up the stairs, Waterflake and Rainbow Dash were in the hallway, and they were making out. Lip to lip, pecking, and not breaking the kiss for a while.
Applejack's heart broke inside her. She couldn't stand watching her own friend that she loved, kiss another pony everyday. She just couldn't bare to watch her true love kiss with someone else. She blinked back her tears, and walked away, her head low, in disappointment.
She told Pinkie that she had to go, and leave the party.
"Pinkie, I have to go home."
