I could see the light that illuminates through the curtains of the office window. I saved the finished file in Yoongi's flash drive and shut the computer down. I walked towards his desk and placed his flash drive on his desk. I was about to leave the office but then I heard his voice.

"Where are you going?" he asked, rubbing his eyes since he just woke up from his long 'nap'.

"I need to go home. My mom would be really angry at me." I told him with tiredness found in my voice.

He looked at me. I could feel his eyes trying to say something but I didn't bother to read it. I was feeling too exhausted.

"Go. But be sure to come back by tomorrow at this hour." He agreed as he stood up and fixed himself.

"Thank you." I smiled as I exited my way through the office door.

"Mom, I'm home~"

As I opened the entrance door to our house, the first thing that came to my face was a broom.

"You! Where did you go?!" My mom yelled at me as she kept hitting me with her broom.

"Ow! Mom, stop it!" I defended myself, covering my head with my arms.

"I'm asking you something and I need answers! Where did you go?" She repeated her question, still not giving up on hitting me with her broom stick.

"I told you already that I got a job! But you wouldn't even believe me." I replied as I tried to run away from her.

"Do you think I'm joking right now?!' She shouted, chasing me around the living room with that broom.

"Mom." Both of us stopped and looked up to see my brother, Ethan, fixing his black tie. "She's telling you the truth."

"What?" Mom hesitated with a puzzled look on her face.

"She already has a job." He said as he walked towards the door to wear his shoes. "Actually, she's working with my company." He added, tying up the shoelaces of his shoes.

My mom looked at me for a while. She then suddenly charged at me again, holding the broom up way up high while shouting at me.

She stopped for the second time when my brother talked again.

"It's my first time seeing her work hard now that she has a job." He stood up from the floor. "I saw her working all night, with that stubborn grumpy boss of hers." He said with a smile.

"Good luck, Sis!" He laughed and left the house with his bag.

Why the hell is everyone telling me good luck? It just makes me nervous every time.

After my brother left, I thought my mom would hit me again but instead, she dropped the broom and walked to the kitchen. I didn't mind her and walked to my room with no energy left inside of me.

I opened the door to my room and suddenly felt happiness when I saw my beautiful bed. I ran towards her and jumped on it.

"It's been a while, my friend!" I said cheerfully, hugging her with my pillow. I slowly closed my eyes to finally experience the sleep of my life.

I woke up from my slumber because of the delicious smell that's filling up the air in my room. I got up from my bed and walked towards the kitchen with my nose smelling the tasty scent. As I opened my eyes, I saw our dining table with lots of food on it.

"You finally got up, Ellise." I saw my mom coming out from the kitchen holding another plate of food. She looked at me and smiled.

"And who's going to eat all of this?" I asked as I pulled a chair under the table while my mouth was still drooling.

"You."

"What?" I was surprised. "Uhmmm... But why?"

"Because you already got yourself a job. Also, this is my treat." She said with a smile.

"Wouldn't you want to eat with me?" I asked her while pointing at our food.

"I already ate, so you can take your time eating." She said as she walked her way to the kitchen again.

Woah~ I never imagined myself eating so much food for dinner, especially when it's all my mom's cooking.
