Vikram's pov :-

Picking up my dumbbells I start thinking of probable password of the pendrive . Gym is the place where my thinking capacity works faster and accurately .

Many people prefer calm serene places like garden or anything close to nature for thinking . But my mind works perfectly at my gym .

I need to find a hacker fast . This pendrive not only contains confidential files from my office which were stolen but also a proof of hit and run case which my opponent is accused of but never convicted due to lack of evidence .

I hear my doorbell ring and frown because I'm not expecting any visitors in fact no onE knows that I own this independent house in a remote area . I purchased this home because it has calm surroundings with no elite people lurking around and also no paparazzi .

Nonetheless I open the door but my frown turns into anger and than worry followed with concern . Never thought I could feel so many emotions in a moment ....

Maya's pov :-

I reach the playschool hurriedly running away from Tara buildings . I'm about to put my finger on biometric when a voice stops me .

    "  I want you in my office , Miss Mehra  ," my principal orders and walks away . I follow him behind as he never I'd the one serious rather a very jovial man around 50's . So , him being serious starts to ring warning bells in my head .

" You didn't tell me that you had some unfinished business with goons . "He accuses me and I look at him confused . Business with goons ? I whisper but he hears it and nods his head disappointed .

" They were here an hour ago and warned us to suspend you from your job or the school will have to face consequences . "

I look at him worried . Because a mark on my card will spoil my career . Gathering my courage I tell him that I don't have anything to do with those goons and also that  I'll lodge a case against them .

No Maya , Don't do that . You're a young girl and have lots ahead in your life . I myself would've lodged a complaint if that threat didn't include the kids . But you know how I can't risk the students life for some petty issue .

But Sir .....

I'll not put any mark on your card and in return I expect you to resign and forget about this issue and also start your life afresh , He says concern evident in his Tone and I just nod .

I sign the resignation letter which is already prepared except my signature and I fill up my signature in the blank space with heavy heart and also furious at that Vikram Rathod for coming into my life and spoiling everything . Damn you Rathod ......

As soon as Maya leaves the playschool , the principal gEts a call and he replies with a " work done , " sir .

Having nothing else to do , Maya goes to her home only to see her house owner waiting for her .

There she gets another shock when her house owner asks her to vacate the house because of those goons warning .

I've done nothing to them . In fact I've done nothing to anyone except helping that man and now I'm struck so bad . Why me God ? Maya thinks packing her bags .

Once everything is packed she leaves giving the keys to the house owner who was waiting . Well , her things came up to two American touristor bags .

All thE things in the house were of the owner itself . Maya starts walking aimlessly till it lead to some secluded colonial area . It is then she realised that she has been walking from past two hours and the clouds above her head told her how unsafe she was in a lost city without any place to go ....

" Kudi changi hai , " She hears a voice . She tuRns to see a man in his thirties eyeing her lustfully . Along with him were two other men who gave her a bad vibe .

" Incredible India , where they only speak of equality but a girl cannot be outside her home late for these leeches will pounce on her , " Maya thinks sarcastically .

Put control on your dirty mind and think of saving yourself idiot , Maya's brain mocks her and she starts Walking fast straight the road and she can hear footsteps following her but they werE keeping space which she was thankful for .

As time passes she gets scared and she does the only thing she read in one of WhatsApp forwarded message . She goes inside a random house and knocks the door waiting for the house owner to come out so that she could explain her position and stay there for a night or at least till the timE she calls the cab .

She rings the bell again and adjusts her bags besidE her . On her peripheral vision she sees those men still standing there scaring her .

But her fear soon turns to horror whEn she sees who opened the door ........

Experts Say : Enter the lift ……… If you need to reach the 13th floor, *press all the buttons up to your destination*. No one will dare attack you in a lift that stops on every floor.

2. What to do if a stranger tries to attack you when you are alone in your house, run into the kitchen.

Experts Say : You alone know where the *chili powder and turmeric* are kept. And where the knives and plates are. All these can be turned into deadly weapons. If nothing else, start throwing plates and utensils all over. Let them break. *Scream*… Remember that noise is the greatest enemy of a molester. He does not want to be caught.

3. Taking an Auto or Taxi at Night.

Experts Say : Before getting into an auto at night, note down its *registration* number. Then use the *mobile* to call your family or friend and pass on the details to them in the language the driver understands. Even if no one answers your call, pretend you are in a conversation. The driver now knows someone has his details and he will be in serious trouble if anything goes wrong. He is now bound to take you home safe and sound. A potential attacker is now your de facto protector.

4. What if the driver turns into a street he is not supposed too and you feel you are entering a danger zone …

Experts Say : Use the *handle* of your purse or your stole (dupatta) to wrap around his neck and pull him back. Within seconds, he will feel choked and helpless. In case you don’t have a purse or stole just pull him back by his *collar*. The top button of his shirt would then do the same trick.

5. If you are stalked at night …

Expert Say : enter a shop or a house and explain your predicament. If it is night and shops are not open, go inside an *ATM box*. ATM centers always have close circuit television. Fearing identification, no one will dare attack you.

After all, being mentally alert is the greatest weapon you can ever have.
