"Stiles? Stiles!" Kathryn called out, seeing Stiles leaving the hospital. He turned to face her. She had been searching for the past hour with the rest of the nurses, much to one nurse's dismay.
Stiles froze, his heart beat becoming erratic at her voice. It was soft but kind of stern.
"They can't find her" Kathryn stood next to him outside the hospital, freezing half to death. She couldn't imagine Lydia out there naked, freezing in the middle of nowhere.
"They'll find her eventually, I promise" Stiles laid his hand on her shoulder, which comforted her a little too much than she thought it should.
"Thanks" Kathryn nodded, a little scared to move. Stiles' touch gave her so much warmth and comfort but when it left she was reminded of how cold it was, how Lydia is in danger and how everything in her life was about to pile on top of her.
Stiles ran off to a broken down jeep, Kathryn kind of liked how homey it looked, it wasn't too shabby.
And neither was Stiles.

Keep it together
That's the only thought that was running through Kathryn's head, everything else was nothing, barely notable.
Kathryn dropped her towel, putting on some underwear and letting down her hair, drying it in the bathroom mirror, watching the hair flop around in front of her face. It had eventually dried and she'd straightened it. Makeup was done, with concealer, blush, pink lipgloss, mascara and some noticeable nude eyeshadow.
She slipped on a black and white striped 3/4 sleeve top, with a black skirt and brown belt. A black snood sat on top of the top, thick black tights on her legs and brown booties on. Her black handbag fell to her side as she packed the few things she'd need.
Breakfast wasn't a priority so she headed straight for the door, trying to escape her dad's first day speech.
"Hey kiddo"
Too late. Kathryn loved her dad more than anything but couldn't stand him at the same time.
"Dad, I love you but I have to go. Like now" Kathryn excused but it wasn't enough, her dad was determined. He was always too worried about Kathryn.
"Kathy, it's going to be tough.." He trailed off. Kathryn whipped her head back, groaning loudly.
"And there'll be a lot of people asking you questions but you don't have to answer to anyone" Kathryn looked around desperately trying to find something to distract her dad with. And she pointed to the clock.
"Weren't you supposed to be at the station an hour ago?" She asked, her dad diverting his attention to the clock. Kathryn grabbed her wallet and her car keys, opening the door as her dad turned back around.
"Love you! Bye!" She yelled before slamming the door and practically sprinting to her car. Across the road sat a tanned boy, on a green motorbike. Scott, but she didn't know that. He looked like he was contemplating going to school but eventually decided to start his engine. Kathryn got in her range rover, a gift from her dad for when she was dismissed from rehab.
Her engine was smooth, the entire drive quiet as she arrived at the school within 15 minutes and parked. In front of her was Stiles and that tanned boy, having what looked like a serious conversation. Stiles turned to wave at her eagerly, she giggled, waving back. And then she hesitantly made her way to class.

"I heard...the circus is in town" Kathryn approached her old best friend. She barely recognised him at first, but seeing the sunglasses indoors and the steriod overkill she knew. Jackson Whittemore.
