After Kathryn and Lydia reunited Kathryn decided to check Lydia got home safe and after that she headed to Jackson's.
"Jackson?!" She yelled as she practically kicked the door in. But there was no reply, not even from his parents but that was understandable as they always ditched him.
"Oh for gods sake" Kathryn turned around, looking to the broken down house across the road. Something drew her to it, without her noticing she walked slowly and before she knew it she was at the front door, about to knock.
She shook her head from the day dream as she heard a crash from the other side of the door, jolting her to awareness.
No way in hell Kathryn thought before running off.
---
"I hate climbing. I hate climbing and I hate walls i'm really not good at this" Kathryn rambled as she strapped on the harness.
"Come on, i'm sure you'll be fine" Stiles said from beside her, admiring how she fidgeted when she was nervous, how her foot would tap and how she wouldn't tap her flawlessly painted nails on her thigh.
"You promise?" Kathryn felt a sudden change in demeanour around Stiles, she felt weak but somehow powerful.
"I promise. Now come on. It won't be fun beating you if you don't try" Stiles winked. Kathryn felt weak at the knees but began climbing, for some reason he wasn't beside her or in front of her, instead he was quite far behind.
Kathryn looked down to see Stiles, fumbling around with the blocks to climb. His eyes fixed on one thing. Kathryn. Kathryn reached the top, scaling down with a smirk where she met Stiles on the way down.
"Maybe you should focus a little more on the climbing" Kathryn smirked before kicking off one final time and stepping out of the harness.
"Erica!" Coach called out. Erica stood, as nervous as possible. However she found a sort of comfort in Kathryn's wide smile. A year or two ago Kathryn would have knocked her down on sight but now she seemed so different. Kathryn had seemed to tapped in to the side of her that people liked so much more.
"You'll be fine, don't worry" Kathryn handed Erica the harness. Not expecting what would happen to her later.
-----
Erica strutted into the cafeteria, everyone turning their heads to face her, even Lydia and Kathryn who stopped by Stiles and Scott to slam their hands on the table in sync. They'd always been in sync since they became friends.
"What" Kathryn gasped.
"The holy hell" Lydia went on, grimacing a little.
"Is that" Kathryn finished. Scott continued to stare at Erica whereas Stiles turned to the pair in shock.
"Do you guys do that a lot?" He asked referring to their synchronicity.
"Do what?" Kathryn and Lydia said in sync, standing straight and flipping their hair. Stiles furrowed his eyebrows and watched as they strutted off, specifically watching Kathryn.
------
Stiles unlocked the door to the ice rink, smiling goofily as Allison and Lydia walked in but grinning as wide as possible when he saw Kathryn. She smiled back of course, but he couldn't help but check her out.
She was wearing black leggings, a long tanned tank top and a thing black cardigan, her hair straightened. It was so simple yet so beautiful.
Kathryn led Stiles to put on skates as Lydia sat by herself and Allison and Scott went off together.
"Could it be any colder in here" Kathryn chuckled as she finished tying one skate up and put her foot down, hugging her body.
"Here" Stiles handed her an orange sweater which she looked at with a goofy smile, taking it and slipping it on.
"Good thing I didn't wear my blue dress Lydia bought me" She chuckled.
"Why?" Stiles asked, oblivious to the strict colour code a girl like Kathryn had to follow.
"Orange and blue. Not a good combination" Kathryn shrugged, tying up her other skate.
"But it's the colour of the mets" Stiles pouted. Kathryn was surprisingly familiar with baseball so she knew just how to wind Stiles up. She looked up, mid tie, to glare at Stiles.
"I've always been a Yankees sort of gal" She said, almost cracking her straight face as she saw Stiles' face go from shock to pure hatred and disgust. But she let a smile slip through.
"I'm kidding. I'm kidding" She dismissed, laughing a little as Stiles chuckled nervously.
"However, sometimes there are other things you wouldn't think would be a good combination that end up being the perfect combination like 2 people, together. Who nobody ever thought would be together, like ever" Stiles looked down to tie his skate. Katherine was oblivious however, but just nodded and admired how amazing Stiles looked when he was thinking.
"Yeah" Kathryn didn't know what to say, which was a first for her. Stiles looked up with pure shock on his face as he saw how serious she was. Kathryn waved the overwhelming feeling of lust away and stood up.
"You ready?" She asked with a goofy smile. Stiles fumbled with his other skate like he usually tended to do.
"I'll see you out there"
Lydia and Kathryn did tricks, laughing with each other as they went over good times from old ice dancing lessons back in elementary school.
Stiles watched in awe as Kathryn jumped, twirling flawlessly in the air and landing gracefully before skating in a circle and pulling her leg up to the side of her to spin and then finish perfectly.
She stopped, looking to Stiles to see him gawking, she skated over and took a hold of his hand, skating back a little.
"You coming?" She teased. He certainly wasn't as bad as Scott. But all the fun came to an end about an hour later when Kathryn and Stiles stopped their flirting to see Lydia clawing at the ice on the floor. They skated over and just as they crouched down to see what was wrong, she screamed.
