It was a week from homecoming and I'm still scared to ask Miya to homecoming. I'm thinking something different. Something drumming related. Catch my drift?

I started working on my homecoming proposal idea. I got my clothes ready for me to ask Miya to homecoming tomorrow.

Since it was Sunday, I went ahead and finished my homework and went to bed.

I woke up and was nervous. I did my hygiene to make sure I smelled good. I put on my uniform and followed up with Miya's favorite cologne.

I put everything I needed in my car and headed to the donut shop to get Miya and myself something to eat.

When I got to school, I waited for Miya by her locker. It was 7:45 and I knew she was out of AP Bio tutoring.

I sent her a text saying to meet me at her locker. A couple minutes later, she appeared and smiled.

"Awwww Andrew. Thank you so much" she said giving me a hug and grabbing the donuts.
"You know I gotta take care of my princess" I said kissing her on the forehead. 

I spotted them snakes I used to call homeboys down the hallway. I ignored them and walked Miya back to class. 

On my way back, I saw girls rolling their eyes and some smacking their lips. I grinned and wrapped my arm around her neck and kissed her cheek. 

NOW I KNOW THEY HEATED!

Since my last class was an off block. I headed to the band hall to get ready for my homecoming proposal. I knew they had drumline practice so I told one of Miya's friend to hold her up while the members came in and helped me setup. 

I had one of the members sing "Mary Had A Little Lamb" when Miya was coming.

It was 3:05 and I was almost late to drumline practice. I saw one of the members, Brandon, by the door singing Mary Had A Little Lamb. 

"You're such a weirdo" I told him. 

I walked further into the band hall and was greeted by Andrew with roses and blue drumsticks. 

Omggggggg he's asking me to homecoming. And he has blue drumsticks. I've been looking for blue drumsticks forever. 

"Will you go to homecoming with me?" He said approaching me with the roses and drumsticks. 
"Yes, of course." I said hugging him and taking the gifts. 
"Good. How about after done with practice we grab a bite to eat?" He asked. 
"Yeah I'll ask my mom to make sure it's okay. I'll text you" I said pulling out my phone. 
"Alright I see you in a bit princess" He said grabbing his belongings. 

I waved and smiled. 

When he walked out everybody on the drumline was staring at me. 

"Is that your boyfriend?" One asked.
"Y'all go out?" Another asked. 

"Why y'all all in my business?" I said putting my stuff down to get ready for practice. 

"Because you were late for practice" Everyone said in unison.
"That was not my fault" I said setting up my drum and laughing. 

We started practiced and finished on time. Once everyone was gone, I made sure our section was clean for tomorrow. I walked out and saw Andrew taking selfies on snapchat. I photo bombed his last selfie. 

He turned around. 

"Big head self messing up my selfies" He said getting up to get his things.
"My big head is cute" I said fluffing my fro. 
"Girl come on I'm hungry" He said walking off
"Wait! Don't leave me" I said catching up with him.
