Yuuri sighed as he finished up Y/n's braid. They were about to leave for their two different flights and it was nerve wracking.

"Nii-san, it'll be okay." Y/n smiled as Yuuri finished braiding his long black hair.

Y/n was Yuuri's younger brother by five years, being 18 and Yuuri 23. Y/n had long black hair, he grew his hair out to prove a point to Phichit and it now laid at his waist. He had e/c eyes that shined with a devious flame. Y/n was around 5' 5", a bit short for his age, but he made up in his maturity and grace on the ice. Y/n was a figure skater, but he didn't compete. He didn't like being judged but loved watching Yuuri skate, so he tended to tag along. Sadly, now that Y/n had gotten serious in school he wasn't able to go along with Yuuri. He was taking a six month course in Russia for the exchange program with his university.

"I'll go home when you go home, okay?" Y/n stood up and hugged his brother. Yuuri didn't like that Y/n was going far away from him, but he couldn't do anything about it.

"I know... Just be careful, okay?" Yuuri placed a kiss on Y/n's cheek.

"I will. Now win for me! Okay?" Y/n stepped back and smashed a closed fist onto his open palm. A small grin spread across his face.

"I will. Now go to your plane. And keep skating for me!" Yuuri pushed Y/n, who nodded and picked up his luggage.

"Bye Yuuri!"

When Y/n got to Russia he was greeted with an old man holding a paper with his name on it. Since he had figure skating as his minor, his school got him connected to a couch named Yakov, who was a famous Russian coach. Yakov allowed him to use his rink and gave him a place to stay until his term was over. Y/n had many scholarships and high praise from his professors, so Yakov agreed to take him under his wing.

"L/n is it?" Yakov looked down at his paper and back up to Y/n, who's hair was braided and pinned up to his head to make a braided bun. Y/n had his carry on bag on his back and had a suitcase in his hand. Yakov had spoken in English to him.

"Oh, our last name is usually put first in Japan. Please, call me Y/n. L/n is my mother's maiden name." Y/n bowed slightly in politeness, replying in Russian.

"You don't have bad Russian for a Japanese boy." Yakov pointed out and motioned Y/n to walk with him.

"Thank you, sir. I took English and Russian in high school and continued it in college. That's one of the reasons why I'm here." Y/n smiled slightly. "I know other languages, but not as well. But it is a pleasure to meet you."

"Don't flatter me. But that's impressive. I've also seen you on the ice. Who taught you?" Yakov opened up the car door for Y/n as they approached it. Yakov was speaking Japanese now, to Y/n's relief.

"My brother did. And our friend Yu." Y/n smiled at the memories as he put his things into the trunk.

"They did a good job. You should compete." Yakov shut the trunk and got inside of the car with Y/n. Y/n glanced to Yakov after he had asked.

"I've thought about it, but it makes me nervous and I want to get better before I do." Y/n smiled. He could feel slight anxiety fill him.

When they got to the home Yakov had for him and got Y/n settled, Y/n mentioned the other skaters. He had thought about them before, but didn't want to bother Yakov.

"Yakov, if I may ask, who do you coach currently?" Y/n asked as Yakov handed him his key.

Yakov went silent before answering.

"Georgi, Mila, Yuri, and Viktor. Those are the famous skaters. I coach others also." Yakov turned slightly away before turning back to Y/n. "Didn't you say your brother was also named Yuri?"
