“Moya Lyubov'.”
Y/n looked up tiredly at the boy who hovered above him.
“Hmm?” Y/n let out a small hum, acknowledging the boy who looked down at him with bright blue eyes.
“It’s time to get up. They’ll catch you if you do not leave.” The boy’s hushed voice sounded frantic. “Yakov will be angry. First you were drinking, and now you didn’t go home even after you promised to be home by eleven.”
“You worry too much, Dorogoy.” Y/n yawned tiredly and sat up, his black and h/c hair pooling around his shoulders. “Give me about five minutes and I’ll be out of your pretty hair.”
The boy’s expression softened from the worried one that sat upon his face and he leaned down and pressed a kiss onto Y/n’s forehead.
“I’m sorry. I know you’re devastated, especially after… He died. I know I can never make you as happy as he did, even if it’s different. But I try.” The boy grabbed Y/n’s cloths and handed them to him. “Get dressed, Y/n. Yakov and You-Know-Who will kill you if you show up any later, especially like this.”
“Ah, thank you, Dorogoy. This means a lot to me.” Y/n stood up and quickly pulled on his sweatshirt and sweatpants before leaning over and kissing the boy on his ear.
“It’s nothing, really.” The boy handed him his shoes and Y/n nodded at him before slipping them on and headed to the window.
“See you tomorrow, Dorogoy.” Y/n slid the window open.
“You too, Moya Lyubov'.” And like that, Y/n was gone.

A too familiar scene played in front of Y/n.
A different boy, one with blue and yellow ringed eyes that seemed to change to green and gray as the light passed over his eyes. His hair was blond and brown. It reminded him of Chris’s hair, but longer. The brown hair reached under his ears, the blond hair, which grew where you could see the brown roots, grew past the brown hair now. He laid on top of the hospital bed silently.
Y/n’s best friend and closest rink mate laid in the blue hospital robe, dying slowly. Today would be his last breaths from his plagued lungs.
He had been diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer. And they didn’t catch it until he was hacking his lungs up constantly, and kept complaining about his shortage of breath and always burning lungs. Then he just collapsed one day.
Y/n stood there, in his black turtleneck and red jeans, tears stumbling down his now pale cheeks.
“Please don’t leave me.” Y/n choked out and this was the first thing that Y/n said since he got into the room. “You can’t leave me.”
“I’m sorry.” His friend coughed and smiled.
Viktor, Yakov, and Yuri stood back as Y/n walked up and crouched to his friend’s level.
“You were going to join the Seniors with me finally. After this season. You promised.” Y/n let out a shaky sob as his friend reached his hand out and messed with a strand of h/c hair.
“I always loved how the h/c streaked the black perfectly. It was stunning.” Blue and yellow eyes started to droop as the heart monitor skipped a beat.
