Shaking Ground

Hope?!?

     The battle between Hope's pack and Spike's pack had ended. The battle was difficult after their alpha had been taken down but Pride, the new Beta, had lead them to victory. The members of Spike's pack had either been killed the course or battle or submitted themselves to Hope, who would be their new Alpha. If she was even still alive.

     Shadow and Pride were watching over Hope as she laid defenseless in her den. The hunter had been sent out on their nightly hunt for dinner. They had to hunt more food because of the new members from Spike's pack. But, it was only 3 wolves. Thor, who had already been placed in this rank as a hunter was actually acting like he had been in the pack for years. Then there was Thunder who defiantly didn't like his new pack but the only other option was death. Finally was Rex, he was a strong wolf and Pride was some what happy that he chose to join because he is going to be a good wolf to have around in the feature.

     As Pride and Shadow watched over Hope, she began to move. Pride and Shadow took a few paw steps towards her. Then, Hope eyes opened the slightest bit to reveal Pride and Shadow looking at her. "Hope? Can you hear me?" Pride said as he helped Hope to stand up. Pain shot down her back but she ignored it. "Yes, I can hear you. Is the battle over" Hope asked. "Yes, its been over for about a day. We won,  and gained a few pack members" Shadow explained. "Ok, good. How many casualties did we suffer" Hope asked. "umm... I'm afraid we suffered only 1 loss" Pride said before he stopped. " Hope I'm so sorry but... Alex was our only loss" Shadow said in the most genital tone possible. "NOOO, I didn't even get to say goodbye. She was the only family I had left after my parents had passed on" Hope said as she had just collapsed. "I'm sorry Hope, I tried my best to save he but I was held back but 2 wolves from Spike's pack and when I managed to get free it... it was to late" Pride explained in a panicked voice. "Pride... its ok. You cant save everyone and as an Alpha I have to face the fact that my pack will experience losses" Hope as she stood back up.

     The 3 wolves had then walked out of Hope's den just in time to see the hunters organizing the pre for tonight's feast. "Hope! Your awake!" many wolves had ran up too her to see if she was ok and they asked so many questions before Pride has asked everyone to give Hope some space. Hope to meet the newest members of the pack so she had Shadow run to get them. "Hello Alpha" Thor said as if he had been calling Hope that since the day she had become the Alpha of the pack. "I am Hope, your new Alpha. I'm glad that you 3 diced to join our pack. You 3 look as if you will bring a lot of positives to our pack. Hope said. "Hope? Its time to eat" Emil interrupted. "Ok, Thank you Emil." Hope said.

    Then, the pack had gathered to eat the wonderful prey that the hunters had brought them this evening.
