Kate's POV "Max, what the hell!!?" I yell and run after Annie. "Kate, wait!" I hear Harvey run after me. I follow Annie till the park, but then I lost her. "Where'd she go?" Asks Harvey. "I can't find her! What is wrong with Max!!?" I say. "I don't know! But he obviously likes that girl more than Annie!"Harvey says, searching near the swings. "Annie! Where are you?!" I shriek. "Annie, it's okay Max's a jerk!" Harvey yells. (Max is not a jerk, only in the story😅❤️) I hear a sniff and yell again, " Annie, it's okay! Max doesn't deserve you! Annie!?" "Annie, please." Harvey says. I hear a crunch behind me, and I turn around. I see Annie, her eyes are red and puffy and her hair is messed up. Harvey and I run up to her and give her a hug. She starts crying again. "It's okay. It's okay. Everything will be fine." I calm her down. We hug her again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Annie's POV I have such good best friends! They hugged me and we started walking back to Harvey's house. I open the door and see one thing I do not want to see. It's Max. And he's kissing that girl. I start sobbing and run to Max's bedroom. I like Isabel wayyyyy more than Annie. I decide to text her. Isabel😍:bye❤️❤️❤️ Max💕:Bye❤️💛💚💙💜 End of conversation "What are you smiling at?" Harvey asks, interrupting my thoughts of Isabel. "What? Nothing," I say, and shut my phone. Harvey raises one eyebrow and gives me a look, but leaves it. I go out to find Isabel. I see her walking with some boy. I get a little jealous and say," Hey Isabel! Who's this?" "Oh, hey Maxy! This is my friend, Alec. (Hello shadowhunter fans! Izzy and Alec) I met him at the park. He's going to a house close by, so he decided to walk with me." She smiles. Man, that girl knows how to smile. Her smile lights up the entire town. "I came to walk with you to my house for the sleepover." I grin. "You both can walk me till there. Thanks for inviting me Max, it's so sweet of you."She smiles again. I smile back and hold her hand. *skip to when they reach Max's house* ( Btw it's still Max's POV) I smile at her and take her inside. As soon as Annie sees her, she frowns. She gasps loudly, and runs out of the house. "Wait, Annie!" Kate shouts and runs after her. Harvey gives me a glare and follows Kate. Silence. "Well, this is awkward." I say. "Yeah," Isabel agrees. "Who is she, anyway?" "Annie. My friend. Best friend." I snap. Hey, wait. Why was I being so grumpy?? "I'm sorry, Isabel. I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry." I look down. "Aww Maxy, it's okay. I forgive you." She smiles. She goes to kiss my cheek, but I turn up to look at her. Our lips touch. I immediately turn away and blush like crazy. I just kissed her! Okay, it was for like one millisecond, but still. Isabel holds my cheek and makes me look up. She leans in, then I lean in and our lips meet. After about 12 seconds, I hear a gasp and I pull away, surprised. I see the door open and Kate and Harvey standing there giving me death stares and glares. "I think you should leave." Harvey scoffs at Isabel. "No, stay!" I hold her hand. Kate raises her eyebrow, and gives me a glare that gives me shivers. "Go, whatever your name is. We have to talk to Max." Kate says, coldly. I've never heard her speak like that before. "My name is Isabel. Only Maxy can call me Izzy. Bye Max." Isabel gives me a small kiss on the cheek and walks outside. I think I zoned out because next thing I know, Harvey is waving a hand in front of my face and saying"Earth to Max!". "W-What?" I say, coming out of my trance. "You know what, Max." Said Kate, glaring at me. "Okay, can we stop with the glares?" I snap. "Not unless you explain." Harvey snaps back. "There is nothing to explain!" I exclaim. (That rhymed!😂sorry) "Oh come on Max. You broke her heart. Literally." Kate says in her coldest voice. "Um who's heart?" I say. "Oh come on, Max! How can you be so ignorant and DUMB!" Kate yells. "Annie. She's sobbing her eyes out! Because of you!" Harvey adds. "I didn't do anything to her!" I come to my defence. "Oh seriously Max? 1. You ask her out. 2. You stare at another girl at the date. 3. You give Isabel or whoever your number and you zone out and stare at her. 4. You invite her to a sleepover 5. You kiss her. You want to know what else you did that hurt Annie?!!" Kate yells, looking like she wants to slap me. Geez. She must really like Annie. Or she's just a VERY loyal best friend. "So? I don't like Annie anymore." I immediately regret it. I liked Annie since the day I saw her but then I met Isabel. Isabel is just... perfect. I feel a hard smack on my cheek. "How dare you!" Kate yells, her eyes flashing with anger. "You know Annie likes you! If you like Isabel, why ask her out!?? You just hurt her more! You are such a -" Kate stops and stares at her hand, then at my now sore red cheek. A tear rolls down her cheek. "I'm sorry Max. I didn't mean to hit you. It's just... Annie's heartbroken. And she's my best friend. She didn't deserve what you did. But still, I'm so sorry." She gently touches my cheek. "I forgive you." I say. I was surprised by her quick apology and loyalty. "Max you have to apologise to Annie. Even if you like Isabel, apologise to Annie. Please?" She asks. I look at Harvey. He nods. I sigh and nod. Kate's gives me a watery smile and frowns. "Now we just have to find her..." We finally found her in mine and Harvey's bedroom. Kate entered first, and I heard her say something about me, Isabel and... Pizzas? (Oh lol😂) Kate comes out and nods at me to go inside. I knock on the door and open it. Annie is sitting on my bed, and crying. Crying hard. Her eyes are red and puffy, and her hair is messed up. I look at my pillow. It's wet. She must have cried into it. "Sorry about the pillow." She sniffs. I immediately feel guilty. Here she is apologising to me about such a small thing, when I should be apologising for breaking her heart. "Hey, hey, it's okay." I say and put my arms around her. She starts crying even more. "Im sorry Annie. I really am. I'm so sorry." I whisper in her ear, and she buries her face in my chest. I know she is still crying so I pat her back and whisper sorry and play with her hair. I know she likes that. She finally stops crying and falls asleep. I lay her down on the bed. I throw the wet pillow on Harvey's bed and steal his. (lol max😂) I put Annie gently on my bed and kiss her forehead. I say sorry one last time and leave. As I turn to close the door, I see her smiling and touching her forehead. I smile too and touch my lips. I close the door and leave. I think I still like Annie.
