One of Andrew's doubles finally found the two of them in a nearby graveyard. Liza was lying down in the grass while Quinn sat over her. At first, Andrew walked cautiously. But then he saw Quinn take out a syringe and put a tourniquet around Liza's arm. Expertly, the guy jabbed the needle in her arm and inserted whatever was in the tube into her body. Andrew was running as soon as he saw the syringe, but he wasn't fast enough.
When Quinn heard Andrew's approaching footsteps, he yanked the syringe out of Liza's arm and looked up in time to see Andrew flying at him. Andrew collided with Quinn, knocking him over. Wrestling with him, Andrew finally got the upper hand over Quinn and had him pinned. Just then, he heard Liza gasp and he turned to see her waking up. Was this part of the plan?
"Quinn! Something's wrong! Why did I wake up? Where is the spirit?" Liza turned to see Andrew pinning Quinn to the ground. She jumped up and landed on Andrew, pulling at him, trying to get him off.
"Stop! You don't know what you're doing! Get off!" Andrew yelled.
"You stopped us from getting rid of a really bad person! You helped him to escape! Now we're all in danger!" Liza yelled back.
"I'm not the one that woke you! He did!" Andrew grunted back at her, for now, she had him pinned with Quinn's help. Her knee was in his chest, and he was having a hard time breathing.
Liza looked up at Quinn.
"Quinn? Is it true? Did you wake me?"
Quinn's eyes deadened. It would have been less frightening if they had been angry or any other emotion.
Stunned, Liza eased back off of Andrew and sat on the grass.
"Why?"
"He's my father, Liza."
"Who?"
"The criminal, Liza," he said softly, and let go of Andrew.
"It's true, Liza, he is. Quinn Baxter is the son of Jake Baxter."
