Kirstin adjusted the strap on her dress and did a small turn as she admired herself in the mirror. The day of the wedding had finally arrived and she was so excited that you would've thought she was actually the one getting married. She was just so happy for her best friend.
Kirstin was about to sit down when got a message from Avi saying that he was waiting for her outside the hotel. So with that, she quickly grabbed her wedding gift and purse, and rushed down to meet Avi.
"Well, don't you look handsome," Kirstin smirked at Avi who was leaning against his car in a black suit, blissfully unaware of his surroundings as he was daydreaming. Only when Kirstin spoke up was he sucked back into reality. His heart leapt as he sighted Kirstin in a pale pink dress that hugged every perfect curve of her body.
"Wow, Kirstie. You look- wow," Avi stumbled, trying to find words that described Kirstin's beauty but unfortunately he couldn't. She laughed at his inability to speak and slapped his shoulder playfully before hopping into her side of the car. They drove in a comfortable silence until a particular song came on the radio that hit too close to home.
All of my life, I been running...
Kirstin and Avi couldn't believe what they were hearing, it was one of Pentatonix's old songs. They both looked at each other with a face of disbelief. Back in the day, their songs never got played on the radio. Kirstin resisted the urge to sing along so instead she hummed a sweet melody that Avi backed up with his own vocals. Before they even knew what was happening they were both yelling out the lyrics and headbanging along to the tune.
I'm on my way, I'm on way...
After a jamming session, they arrived at the church hall. Avi quickly popped out of the car and rushed over to Kirstin's side in order to help her out. With the size of the heels she was wearing he was terrified that she would topple over. "I appreciate the thought, Avi, but I'm pretty sure I can get out on my own," Kirstin laughed but just as she said so, her ankle gave in which caused her to lean on Avi.
"Okay, maybe I'll accept your offer."
She linked her arm through his and they strolled over to their seats in the church. As they sat down in their reserved seats, they both caught the eye of Kevin who was very noticeably sweating. Kirstin raised two thumbs up while Avi gave a reassuring smile; Kevin could only manage a weak smile back.

"Do you, Kevin Oluwole Olusola, take Alyssa Lein Smith to be your beloved wife?"
"I do."
"Do you, Alyssa Lein Smith, take Kevin Oluwole Olusola to be your beloved husband?"
"I do."
"Kevin, you may kiss-" The priest had started off his sentence but Kevin had already grabbed Alyssa's face, connecting their lips together in a passionate smooch. The hall erupted with claps and cheers, especially from Kirstin and Avi. Kirstin was practically sobbing at this point and Avi tried hard to hold in his emotions but managed to shed a tear or two. The newlywed couple ran down the aisle hand in hand and hopped into a limousine, on their way to the reception. Everyone followed behind them in their own cars and all the guests quickly arrived at the venue.
"Wow," Kirstin gasped as her eyes scanned the entire hall. There were beautiful bouquets of flowers at each table, glass chandeliers hanging and music was softly playing in the background; it was just perfect.
A booming voice blared out the speakers and announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... Mr and Mrs Olusola!" Kevin and Alyssa walked through the door with their arms linked while everyone cheered for them, even throwing confetti around them. "They will now take their first dance together as a married couple."
The music that was playing softly earlier now became louder as Kevin and Alyssa met each other on the dance floor. The love between them was evident and undeniable, Kirstin longed for that. As the thought popped in her head, she couldn't help but sneak a glance at Avi, and found that he was already looking at her. She dipped her head down and allowed her hair to hide the embarrassing blush on her face.
After a few minutes, the mysterious voice spoke again, "Ladies and gentlemen, you may now join the newlywed couple on the dance floor." Almost immediately after that being said, couples rose out of their seats and joined each other in a slow dance.
Avi cleared his throat which caused Kirstin to turn and look at him. "Kirstie, umm, if you wouldn't mind I would like to, umm-"
Kirstin cut him off by placing a gentle hand on his, "I'd love to dance with you." Avi smiled sheepishly and leaded her over to the dance floor where they found a gap between a few people.
"Just a heads up, I haven't done this in a while so I'm sorry if I step on your foot," Avi said, causing them to both chuckle. The sexual tension between them was making them both feel flustered and making their cheeks flush. They both clearly wanted each other, it was just up to one of them to make the first move. Kirstin started off by edging her body closer to his while Avi's hands travelled down to her hips, giving them a brief squeeze. Kirstin dared to look in his eyes and regretted it because she instantly thought of Sierra. He deserved to know the truth, even if he hurt Kirstin. He deserved to know about his own kid. She would be so upset if she found out she had a child who she didn't know of.
"Avi, there's something I have to tell you-" Kirstin had started off but annoyingly cut off by the sound of her phone ringing. She glanced at her phone and noticed a call coming in from Tori. She immediately panicked because it was about 1am in London, what possibly could Tori have wanted at that hour? "I'm sorry, I have to take this," she said apologetically. She put the phone to her ear and answered, "Hello?"
"Kirstie, you need to come home immediately. Sierra's been hurt."
I just wanted to say another thank you for all the love my books have been getting, you guys are the bessssttt :D
