Chapter 11
F R E E S E X
The next day I'm laying in my bed thinking of what I agreed to. So...Parker and I...are official, but it has to be kept a secret, or else. Parker didn't really tell me why we had to keep it a secret, but I still agreed. But now I have a boyfriend, and a secret. I don't know what's worse.
I am terrible at keeping secrets, like one time Andrew had to pee really bad at school and the teacher wouldn't let him go. Somehow I ended up going along with Andrew after convincing the teacher I had to go as well. We were a couple meters away from the bathroom when a yellow liquid was seen on the floor. I almost gagged but Andrew ran over to me and told me to shut up. His eyes were wide and you could see all the different green colors they really held in his eyes.
Andrew than asked me to go get pants and keep this a secret. So I did. Well, I kept it a secret until my teacher asked me what I was doing, rummaging through Andrews bag. I wasn't such a bright kid back then. So instead of coming up with a short time lie, I said something completely different.
"Andrew needs pants because he peed himself!"
I then started crying and ran out of the room to give Andrew his clothes. He asked me what was wrong but I shook my head.
About ten minutes later, Andrew walked into class and everyone laughed at him. Andrew immediately knew I had said something because he gave me a glare.
Now, what will happen if I spread the secret around? Will Parker still want me? Or will he dump me first thing? I bite at my lip as I think about the problems this relationship can cause. If Andrew were to know, he may never talk to me. Oh Andrew.
Now I really am 'cheating' on him with Parker. I'm such a bad friend. Well, Andrew can never find out. Neither can James or else his blabber mouth with let it out; not just Andrew but the whole school. No popular people. Grace can be kicked out of the question. So that leaves all my options rejected. Well then. I guess it is better to keep this fun news a secret.
Walking down my stairs, I see my mom grinning at her phone with her eyes lit up like the sky in a thunder storm. I raise an eyebrow and secretly move past her, acting like I'm getting something from the fridge, but I'm really looking at her phone screen.
As soon as I get a glimpse of a full blown text conversation, she moves her phone and locks it, turning to me. I instantly have the fridge door open and act like I'm looking inside.
"It's not nice to look over my shoulder." She says slowly, then slides her phone in her pocket.
"Oh. Sorry." I say, surprising us both. I guess she was suspecting the common sarcastic reply. But instead she got an apology. I'm even surprised.
"Uhuh."
"Yeah, thanks for letting me miss school yesterday. But now today, I've got a crap load of homework to do." I say, grabbing a bottle of Coke. When I'm twisting the lid, mom responds.
"No problem. That man sure did get a lot of work done on the house," Mom says, looking around. I look too. Instead of the ceilings usually sagging, they are now proud and standing straight. The windows are new like a shiny plate, and the front door doesn't look like a cockroach house. I mean it should look good because the guy was here the whole time I was, and left when my mom got home. He was so weird. I can't blame my mom for thinking that he would take something. He set off the creepy vibe so bad.
