Chapter 26

My mom knocks on my door hesitantly as she pops her head in. Parker unwraps his arm around me and my mom's head disappears when she sees him.
"Oh! Sorry honey!" I giggle, and get out of bed. I walk to the door where my mom is standing in the hallway, playing with her fingers.
"Yeah mom?"
Although mom and I are getting together again, she's a little...different. She can't act strong around me and has to act like I'm the parent and she's the child. I just wish our life could be normal. That our bond can be stronger than Carol and Is and I can drown myself in pity as my mom holds me. No doubt, us watching that movie marathon while Parker and I were on break, brought us together the most of all. But even through all the crap mom and I went through, I still love her. I love her so much and I don't know where I would be without her.
"Um, Willy wants to meet you somewhere. He says its important. Oh...and Jason called me. We need to talk when you come back." She sends me a happy face and starts to walk away, her hair in a messy bun. I raise an eyebrow, and reach forward to grab her wrist.
"Wait, mom," she pauses her descent and turns around to send me a grin.
"Yes?"
"I was wondering...would you and George like to go out tonight with Parker and I down to see a movie?" Mom holds back a smile, but shakes her head.
"Sorry. But you have graduation tomorrow and I need to plan out your dinner. So...yeah," she shrugs and I reel back in shock.
"Whoa! Graduation is tomorrow?!" I knew it was coming up, but I guess being around Parker and all that jazz made me forget. My mom raises an eyebrow and nods.
"Yes."
"Holy crap!" She smiles, but then crashes me into a hug.
"Oh...my baby girl is all grown up." I hug her back after getting that bomb dropped on me.
"Alright mom." I don't know what else to say to her. "Um...I'll go meet up with Willy and I'll come meet up with you to talk. Okay?" She nods and makes her way down the stairs while I charge into my room to find Parker in a pair of boxer briefs and slipping on a black wife beater.
"Hey."
"Hi," I mumble back and walk over to him to tell him I have to go out quickly before twirling around.
"Okay. See you later?"
"Um...better make sure it's okay with your parents because graduation is tomorrow. Remember?" I remind, his face registers shock and he steps into his jeans.
"Tomorrow? What?" I nod and walk to my closet to grab out a hoodie and some jeans. I slide them on quickly, and throw my hair in a bun. I slide on some sunglasses and some red chucks before walking over to Parker.
"My reaction exactly."
We kiss quickly then he disappears out the window, and I disappear out the door.
