Shawn's POV

"Oh, um by the way I'm um b-blind" she says quietly taking me by surprise.

Well that explains why she didn't take my hand when I offered it and her almost running into traffic. I look at Ian with wide eyes and look back at her. Honestly the thought of her being blind never even crossed my mind, I just thought she was on drugs or homeless. But wait how does she know where she's going? Well, she obviously didn't she almost killed herself duh Shawn. So many more questions flow through my mind.

"Oh, why are you alone?" I say but then quickly realized that sounded rude.

"Not that you aren't capable to take care of yourself because I'm sure you can but you don't have a cane or something to let you know where you're going or anything oh jeez that sounds even worse I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend you if I did" I rush out mentally facepalming myself. Way to make someone feel worse you idiot, yeah an idiot that's what I am.

"It's okay," she smiles lightly making me feel a little better, "I forgot my cane at my house and I didn't want to go back to get it" she continues.

"Is that why you're going back? It looks like you were heading somewhere" I ask laughing lightly trying to get more information out of her without seeming like a creep.

"Kind of, well I was wanting to run away but then realized it wasn't the smartest thing to do since I have probably only gone out about three times" she says with a sigh.

"Run away? I can see the problem here" I chuckle trying to make the situation seem better.

"I don't know why I'm telling you all of this honestly, I just want to go home and pretend none of this happened and before my parents figure out I'm missing which I doubt" she mumbles the last part and looks down.

"Well, c'mon I'll take you home" I say and grab her hand guiding her. Her hand is warm and soft and I can feel her shaking a bit. Poor thing, she is probably scared she doesn't know who I am or anything. I get to my car and help her into the passenger seat and close the door. Ian glares at me playfully and pouts, I know that he wanted the passenger seat. I smile at him and pat his cheek.

"Next time Warburton" I say and wink. I honestly forgot that he was here, Bella took up all of my attention.

"I wanted to hold your hand while you drive! First she holds your hand while walking now she takes my seat? I can feel myself being replaced!" he says while holding a hand over his heart and pouting more.

"She's prettier" I say shrugging and walk to the driver's side and I hear him gasp and I laugh as I get in and buckle up.

"So, what's your address?" I ask Bella and take my phone out opening the maps app. I type in the address that she gives me. It's only five minutes away so she must have not been walking for long. I start to drive and I glance at her and she's looking straight forward with her hands in her lap.

"So, I know we just met but if you are in trouble I can help." I tell her driving slower than usual just so I can spend a little bit more time with her.

"I-I'm not in trouble, I'm just not happy at home I guess." she says as she plays with
her hands on her lap.

"Alright how about this, ill tell you something if you tell me something?" I ask wanting to get more information out of her as possible.

"Uhhh I'm not suree" she trails off and starts picking at the holes in her jeans.

"I'm from Canada, I'm 16, I hate tomatoes don't even put them near me, I'm 6 foot, I like to sing and play guitar, I have a younger sister, and I'm allergic to dogs. There's too much to say now but if you have any questions about me don't be afraid to ask. I don't want you to feel like you are in danger or feel uncomfortable I promise I won't hurt you, you can trust me" I say surprising myself. I only expected to tell her one thing not many things.

"Canada eh?" she laughs softly "wait you're allergic to dogs? They make me so happy how do you survive without that happiness?" she continues jokingly.

"Oh trust me that doesn't stop me from being around them" I reply laughing.

I stop at a red light and I take this chance to look over to her and take in her appearance. She has a tannish glow to her with long wavy brownish black hair, very faint freckles placed on the bridge of her nose and cheeks, and brown eyes with long eyelashes. She's not the skinniest which makes her look even more beautiful. She has a small smile placed upon her lips making her dimples visible making her look adorable. I suddenly had the urge to make her laugh and smile just so I could see her dimples be more prominent. I hear Ian clear his throat and I look forward noticing the light has turned green. I glance at my rear-view mirror and see Ian staring back wagging his eyebrows up and down and making kissy faces. I roll my eyes and look back to the road.

"I'm from here in LA, I'm 16 too, I'm Hispanic, I speak Spanish, and I like to sing too but I'm no Beyonce" she says after a minute of silence.

"We should sing sometime if you want. Is that weird to ask a stranger to sing?" I ask with a chuckle.

"I would but I'm not really allowed to go outside especially if I get caught I doubt my parents will ever let me out of my room." she says with a small frown.

"I'll help you sneak in! Oh c'mon I'm only here for a couple more days and you seem like a really cool girl this could be the start of a beautiful friendship!" I reply with excitement in my voice. I can tell she doesn't have any friends and she's a mystery that I want to uncover.

"I just need to get into my backyard and I'll be fine after that." she sighs and leans her head on the window. I pull up to her house making sure to park a little further so it wouldn't look too suspicious.

"We're here, um before we sneak you in do you maybe have a phone or something?" I ask trying my best not to offend her.

"Yeah" she pulls out an iPhone and hands it to me. "It reads my text messages out loud and I use Siri to do everything but I barely use it since I don't have anyone to text."

"Well, you just got yourself a person to text!" I put my number in her phone and send myself a text so I could have her number.

"Let's go sneak you in shall we?" I smile and get out and jog to her side and help her out holding her hand.

"Be right back Ian, try not to trash my car like last time." I say loudly through the window. I see him roll his eyes and look back down to his phone. I hold her hand walking towards her back yard to the gate. I open it up and quietly walk to her back door.

"We're at the back door do you want me to go in with you?" I ask her secretly wanting to go in.

"No thanks, I got it from here. Thank you so much for taking me home" she says with a smile showing her dimples.

"Any time, it's not the last time you'll hear from me through! You can't get rid of me that easily." I say with a chuckle. She smiles and nods looking up at me.

"Thanks again, it was nice meeting you and your friend. Have a nice night Shawn." She turns around and opens the door slowly walking in quietly. She shuts the door just as quietly and waves and walks further in until I can't see her anymore. I stand there for a few seconds with a smile on my face. Why is she so intriguing? I want more for some reason. I brush it off and walk back to my car mentally preparing for Ian's loud mouth.
