Chapter 7

I have 3 weeks left of the semester! I'm so excited to be able to have more time to write more chapters. Sorry this sucked I wrote it in class lol. enjoy! (not edited)

Isabella's POV

I wake up feeling a hard surface underneath my head. I feel my head slowly rise up and down and something blowing softly on the top of my head. Today's events replay through my mind but I don't remember falling asleep on Shawn. I slowly try to sit up making sure not to wake him up but I feel his arms tighten around me. I hear him groan and his arms loosen around my waist.

"Hey there" Shawn says in a raspy sleepy voice.

"H-hi, sorry I didn't mean to fall asleep on you it won't happen again." I say getting up and moving to the sofa chair.

"I don't mind, not gonna lie that was the best sleep I have gotten in awhile." He says as I hear ruffling giving me the impression that he sat up.

"Oh fuck I have an interview in thirty minutes, Andrew is going to kill me." He says and I hear more noise of his guitar case.

"Interview?" I question. I wonder who Andrew is but I decide to keep it to myself.

"Oh, u-um it's for my job, Andrew is my manager." He says with a slightly shaky voice.

"Ohh I didn't know you had a job, where do you work at?" I asked, standing up and stretching.

"Yeah, I work for a record company, nothing big or important." He says getting closer to me. "I'll see you later?" I feel his arms wrap around me in a hug warming up my body. I hug him back and nod in his chest. God he smells good. I hear the door slam shut and I sigh and head up to my room to continue my nap.

Shawn's POV

I turn on my car and call Andrew putting him on speaker while pulling out of the driveway.

"Mendes! Where the hell are you?" Andrew's angry voice booms through the speaker.

"I'm so sorry I fell asleep at a friends house, I'm on my way to the radio station i'm only 15 minutes away." I say sighing hoping I make it on time.

"Alright, i'm already here. Park in the back and John will meet you there" He says still frustrated.

"Okay cool, sorry again" I say and we say our byes and hang up.

I get there and there is John and another guy and some fans. I climb out of my car and the other guy takes my keys and John follows me inside and stays close while I say hi to some fans. I get in a greet the radio host and sit down. Just in time! I would have felt horrible if I was late.

"Here we are with singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes! How are you today?" Steve the radio host says into the speaker.

"Hello! I'm doing great, what about you?" I smile fixing my headphones.

"I'm great, so let's talk about your new song life of the party, it's a hit! What inspired it?" Steve asks and I answer along with multiple questions about my music and what is next.

"So now we are gonna take some questions from your fans, the first question is from Katie and she asks, who is your ideal girl?" He reads off a paper and the Bella is the first thing that comes to mind.

"Someone I can connect to and gets me, someone who is themselves when they are around me and isn't scared to show me their flaws and imperfections because someone's flaws could be my favorite quality about that person. Someone that can make me laugh and bring out the best in me." I answer thinking of Bella the entire time as I smile to myself.

"Awwwh he's blushing, sounds like you're describing someone" He says cooing. I laugh and shake my head.

"Alright, next question is from Lauren and she asks, there is a picture going around on the internet of you and a girl from yesterday, who is she?"

"Theres pictures? Can I see them?" I ask pulling out my phone getting ready to check myself.

"No need to look it up I got them pulled up" Steve says turning his computer screen towards me. One picture shows me holding Bella's arm after I pulled her out of traffic and another one shows Bella on the ground and my arm extended to her and the other ones is just us walking to the car hand in hand. I have no idea how I am going to explain this but I know I have to make something up.

"Oh that! Yeah she is a friend of mine who I haven't seen in awhile so we were just catching up." I lie biting the inside of my cheek. I hate lying but I don't want to expose Bella too much to the world.

"So she isn't a girlfriend? You guys were holding hands." Steve asks and I mentally sigh.

"No she is not my girlfriend, she hurt her ankle when she fell so it was just for stability" I say hoping he doesn't ask more questions about us holding hands.

"So you're single?" He asks grinning.

"Yep"

"Hear that ladies? He's single! Well that is all the time we have left, thank you so much for coming Shawn!" He says smiling at me.

"Anytime! Thank you for having me." I smile back and stand up and shake his hand. He plays a song on the radio and we chat for a minute before John, Andrew and I head out.

"So wanna tell me who's friends house you were at? You left Ian alone in the hotel, he said he thinks you went to that girl in the pictures house?" He says smirking at me.

"Uhh yeah, her name is Bella, she's super sweet and she doesn't know who I am....famous wise" I say biting my lip.

"What do you mean she doesn't know? Are you sure she isn't playing with you and saying she doesn't just so she can be close to you?" Andrew says cautiously.

"No, I know she doesn't because she's blind, i'm kind of conflicted though, I don't know if I should tell her or not I kind of like having someone I can be myself around without having to worry about if they are after me for something yanno. Plus she has an amazing personality and is absolutely beautiful." I rant

"That's up to you kid" Andrew says ruffling my hair. I sigh and nod getting into my car and pulling out my phone debating on if I should text her or not. I decided to text her a simple "Hey, finished the interview! :)" and lean my head against the window. Why is she taking up all of my thoughts? I sigh and watch the buildings pass by as we drive back to the hotel.
