I walk the halls
Head down
Headphones on
Ignoring everyone
Even the voices in my head
"Give in" they say
"Shut up" I think
Turning up my music a little louder
Hoping to block out the noise
Tune out their loud voices
Filling my head with nonsense
I push past the students
Past the administration
And get to class
Only focusing on that
Everyone says this and that about peer pressure
But they don't get it
Peer pressure isn't something you can avoid
Peer pressure is internal and external
But most don't know the fight
The fight of own peer pressure every morning
The fight that is never won
