Last Time I Saw You

Last time I saw you

You were with your other friends

And had called me and asked me

To meet you at the park

I got up there and hung out with you guys

Your friend Nathaniel was being creepy

And reading from your phone internet history

There were things I didn't need to know

But even when he was doing that

You made a point of standing behind me with your arms around my waist

Hands resting on my belly

And head resting on top of mine

I put my hands over yours

And leaned my head back

Realizing something I looked up and said

"Your heart is racing"

You just laughed and said "its natural"

I knew it wasn't but I didn't want to argue

I just leaned my head back again and stayed there

You moved to get your phone from Nathaniel

Ended up chasing him

Quite a few times

But even when you did

You always made a point of coming back

And standing with me how you were before

Little do you know, I tested you

One time when you stepped away

I moved a little bit and leaned back

To see what you do

When you came back you did what I thought

You pulled me forward slightly

To get back to standing with your arms around me

And head against mine

When your phone went off with a call from your dad

And you had to leave

You hugged me and seemed like

You didn't want to go

Shortly after you left I left

You texted me and we planned to hang out the next morning

Before you went to work

You seemed happier then..

But...

That was the last time I saw you
