DoFlamingo collapsed onto the bed next to you, breathing hard. He pulled you close to him, pressing his face to your chest. Breath as heavy as his, you ran a hand through his short blond hair.

Arms wrapped around you, he fell asleep with his head on your breasts. The moonlight that came through the windows made his tanned skin look almost bronze, his hair the color of a buttercup's petals.

You ran a finger around one of his earrings, wondering when you stopped dreading the moment he pulled you close. 'Do I have Stockholm Syndrome?' You chuckled. Maybe you were just in love. Other than collaring you and occasionally not taking no for an answer, he had been unfailingly kind. Strangely so.

Staring at the ceiling in the dark, wondering about the feelings that rolled in your chest, you didn't fall asleep. So you were wide awake when DoFlamingo started to shiver and mewl with fear.

His face was twisted into a look of complete horror, his whole body shaking, and you could feel his heartbeat become erratic.

"DoFlamingo. Wake up, come on." You shook his shoulder, calling his name. "Come on, wake up Doffy, wake up."

He broke out in a cold sweat, giving a small cry of pain in his sleep. You hugged his head to your chest, petting his hair and quietly murmuring. You let him go when he jerked away from you and ended up falling off the edge of the bed with a scream and a thud.

You crawled to the edge and looked over to where he sat on the floor, knees hugged to his chest. His sunglasses had been knocked off. "Doffy." He looked up at you, fear and confusion in his ice-blue eyes. "Come here." You beckoned him closer.

He crawled onto the bed and curled up in your lap, hiding his face in your stomach. "Oh, Doffy..." You gently rubbed his head, letting him cling to you until his shaking stopped. "Are you okay?"

He nodded but refused to let you go or show his face.

"Will you tell me...?"

He didn't respond and you didn't push him. But when the hitch was gone from his breathing, he quietly said, "I can't stop going back to when they tortured me, and I couldn't do anything about it."

You gently pulled his head up enough so you could look into his eyes. "I guess we're both pretty broken, huh?"

He kissed you, putting a hand on the back of your neck to keep you close. You wrapped your arms around him, for once not hesitating to kiss him back.

You fell asleep in each other's arms. When you woke in the morning, DoFlamingo was gone. And so was the collar around your neck.
