"And in the middle of the chaos, there was you."

Allison

Despite the loud music blasting through the speakers, I could hear commotion down at the dance floor. My eyebrows furrowed. I stood up from my seat next to Xavier, the night club owner.

"Where are you going, love?"

I turned to him "Sorry, but somethings happening down there."
He also had a confused look on his face before he stood up with me and we head to the railing, where we could see the dance floor.

And before I could register what was happening , I was already running down the stairs with Xavier hot on my trail. My god Angie. I saw her on the floor, crying, with a man beating someone up near her, a crowd already formed around them.

As I arrived on the first floor, Angie was already moved to a chair near the bar, and if I wasn't worried enough, a man had his arms around and I think it was the same man who was beating someone up. Who is that jerk wad, I swear if he's some sort of per-

I was cut short when I heard someone groaning loud at the side, it was a man lying on the ground who was beaten to a bloody pulp and Im sure his jaw was broken. What the hell happened?

I almost reached Angie , but there was still a small crowd around them, people were staring and before I could tell them to buzz off, Xavier beat me to it.

"Back off, Nothing to see here people, please move away and continue your fun" He spoke in a calm but intimidating manner. And the small crowd slowly moved away whispering to each other as they did. I heard Xavier say that he'll go get my friends.

"Angie!" I pulled her away from that man who she was clinging on to for dear life and I wrapped my arms around her and noticing it was me she immediately clung on to me. "Alli" she sobbed

"What happened?!" I exclaimed to her. I looked at the man who had his arms around her and he had an irritated look on his face. What was his problem? I wasn't about to let a stranger hug my already crying friend no matter how hot he was. Did he know Angie or something? Did I know him? He seemed awfully familiar but the lighting was still a little dark, I couldn't be so sure who he was. Before I could ask Angie again. The man spoke up.

"Your friend was assaulted" His voiced had an edge to them, like he was holding himself back.

Assaulted? Our Angie? I looked at her and guilt seeped through me.

"What? Where the hell is that bastard?!" I exclaimed

"He's been taken care of"

I know that! But that doesnt stop me from wanting to chop off his dick.

I groaned in fury. Thats why we were always in pairs when go to clubs to stop stuff like this from happening, where on earth was Daniel? He was supposed to be with her. I looked back at the man again and he was still staring at us. It all clicked, the beaten up man, him hugging Angie, He saved her.

I mustered up all the sincerity that I could and looked straight into his eyes "Thank you" I began. " I don't know how we could ever repay you, for saving our friend, if you weren't there.." I couldn't bring myself to finish my sentence. I just hugged Angie even more. I looked down at her and noticed she had passed out. The man looked at her with so much worry like he just wanted her in his arms again, I was starting to think he was into her, weird but he saved her life. Which brings me to ask him.

"If you don't mind me asking , Do you know Angie?" I questioned him skeptically. I saw slight nervousness in his eyes but it disappeared as quickly as it came. He took a deep breath before he answered me.

"Miss Morgan is in my class, my math class" He spoke calmly, icily.

Whoa what? Hot guy? Math class? The hot math professor?

"Mr. Wilson?" I stared at him in disbelief, how did I not not recognized him. It must have been the lack of those tailored suits that he always wore or that he looked like a completely different person when he's worried or maybe I just didnt pay attention to his face a lot. I just couldn't believe it, our math professor saved Angie, the same math professor who we keeps fiercely staring at her. This is getting really strange.

He grew stiff at me calling his name, his pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes for a few second then opened them again. His mood changed drastically, like he was reminded he was actually a teacher.

"Yes Miss Aspen" He began "I hope you know that what happend here.." His hands formed into fists again, veins popping out, eyes turning dark.

"I dont want it happening again" He seethed "If you cant keep her safe, then don't come here at all" He demanded. I would be angry at him for ordering me around but I cant exactly disagree, someone should have been here with Angie, the world is a dangerous place.

I looked down "It's our fault."

I heard him sigh. "Its not, its men like him, scums of the earth, they don't deserve to breathe." I looked up and was about to say something when someone held his shoulder. A guy with dark messy brown hair and beautiful blue-gray eyes, he looked just like Mr. Wilson but younger.

"Bro, we need to go" He then whispered something to Mr. Wilson who nodded as his response. He got off his chair and turned to leave but glanced back at Angie, with a look I couldn't decipher, worry? longing? desperation? All three? I don't know but it was something, it was intense. "I'll see you both at class Ms. Aspen. Take care of her" He said the last part in such a low voice that I thought I imagined it.

And as if noticing us for the first time. He- Im assuming is his brother- glanced at us and a smirk decorated his face, what was up with them and those smirks? Was it also genetical? That they had to look ridiculously sexy when they did that? They were too good looking for there own good and I think they knew it.

"Bye Doll." And they were gone, leaving me me agape with a passed out Angie.

What just happened?
