Bruce and Alfred finally managed to make it back to CCPD by waking Kara up and having her drop them off there. Both girls had hastily dressed in the same clothes they'd worn before, and Alfred's hair was still wet from when Bruce had thrown water on her.
Bruce's heart was pounding in her chest just as loud as she pounded on the door to Police Science.
"Come in! Come in!" Barry cried.
Bruce and Alfred entered and saw the unspeakable.
The jellyfoo was upon Barry's desk, but it was fixed, it's once missing crystal spout replaced, and the dent in its side gone. Out of every seam of the metal was spilling a golden glow, the crystal pipes sparkling and shining all colors of the rainbow as a gentle hum emanated from it.
Earth 2 Barry was standing proud behind it, his glasses glaring from the golden glow, and his lips split in a wide grin. What with Barry and the jellyfoo, it was a few seconds before Bruce registered that there was another presence in the room.
"What the..." Bruce said, squinting at the pudgy creature that was floating besides Barry.
As soon as her eyes alighted upon it, it grinned wildly and swooped down upon Alfred and Bruce.
"Hello, hello, hello! What a pleasure to finally meet face to face!" The creature cried. "I'm such a huge fan! I can't believe this is happening!" He gripped her hand and shook it vigorously, then went to Alfred and kissed her on both cheeks.
"Ah! Bugger off!" Alfred cried, swatting him away.
It didn't seem to affect his enthusiasm. "Oh, I'm getting ahead of myself! My name is Batmite and I am your most humble servant." He dipped into a mid air bow.
"What the fuck?" Bruce said.
"Omigosh! Your signature line! And that I'm at the receiving end of it! This is blowing my mind right now!" He said, looking close to tears.
"Um, if I may intercede..." Earth 2 Barry said, coming around to join them. "Batmite here is from the fifth dimension, and it was he who fixed your jellyfoo. I don't think I would have been able to do it myself."
"Oh, yes, but it was nothing at all. Nothing to do something for my heroes!" He said happily.
"Batmite?" Bruce said.
"From the fifth dimension?" Alfred asked.
"Yesssssss!" He squeaked with glee. The little creature was like a floating cherub with a childlike face, round belly and glittering eyes. The only difference was that he was dressed in a goofy version of Bruce's Bat suit, with more gray than black, and ill-fitting as if it had been homemade.
"So thanks to him, you girls can go home! Isn't it great?!" Earth 2 Barry said.
