Briar Brightly is not much of anything. She doesn't have any specific talents, not popular and she's not much of a people person. She would prefer to spend her days doing what she loves... which is training, the only thing she is something of.

Since we had been setting up the new dojo all day today, we didn't get to train as long as we usually do. Zack and Tim dropped me off at the dorms at about 9 PM. All I did when I got back was have a nice long shower, and go to sleep because I have class tomorrow.

So far throughout the week, it's basically been the same thing. Go to school, hangout with Zack, go to training, go to the dorms, study, sleep, and eat food. Today though, classes have been canceled for some weird reason that is unknown to me.
Now I have to figure out what I'm gonna do today. It's currently 7 AM, so Zack's not awake yet. He wakes up at 8 AM. Eh, I'll leave him a message before I get ready.
Me: classes are canceled come pick me up after you wake up.
After I sent the message I went to get changed. It only took me about 10 minutes to get ready so I now have nothing to do for 40 minutes... great...
I guess I'll just watch some Glee in the meantime. I had about 5 minutes left in my Glee episode when there was a knock on my door. I got up and went to open the door.
"Don't you ever check you phone?" Zack asked me leaning against the door frame.
"Aren't you in a happy mood?"I said with a sweet smile. I turned away and grabbed my bag, but not before I saw him roll his eyes. "You woke up early, you usually don't crawl out of bed until 8. It's 8 now and here you are."
"Yeah, Eve called me, it woke me up" Zack said.
"So she's an 'it' now?" I asked with a smirk as I closed my door.
"No, the ringing woke me up." Zack said annoyed.
"Okay mister sensitive." I said with my hands up in the surrender position. Zack didn't say anything as we walked down the hallway. As we went to go outside and he hadn't said anything yet I asked, "Okay, what's up with you?"
"Just having an off day." Zack said. He pinched his nose, more close to his eyes.
"Okay. Ignore this off day, so you can have some fun with your best friend. I don't like a Debby downer" I said climbing in to his car.
"I'm not a Debby downer. I'm not a chick." Zack said.
"It's a figure of speech, dummy." I said as he started out of the parking lot.
"Where are we going?" Zack asked. Right I didn't say.
"Uhmm..." I had to think about it for a second. "Lets go get subs, then go to the park."
"Alright." Zack said.
Most of the time, when Zack and I hang out, we hang out at the park. It's a nice, calm place to go. Not to many people go there to actually sit and talk with someone, so we don't have to worry about people listening to our conversations. It's fairly close to the dojo, and it's outside, so we're not cooped up in a small dorm.
We went to subway, got our subs, drove to the park, when we got to the park we sat down at a picnic table to eat our subs and talk. As we sat down I asked a question to start the conversation.
"Why are you having an off day? What's so off about your day? Waking up 10 minutes earlier than you usually do can't make you have that much of an off day. What gives?"
"I don't know, maybe it's the fact that my own girlfriend doesn't know when I sleep and when I wake up, but you do" Zack said jokingly.
"Okay then, forget I said anything about that and tell me a secret that not many people know about you." I said as a change of subject.
"I'll tell you a secret of mine, if you tell me why you act weird anytime someone mentions parents." As Zack said that my smile fell.
"Okay" I smiled at him. "I'll tell you, but you have to tell me a big secret. Not some lame secret like that you got caught doing something naughty, it has to be a big secret. That I don't already know."
"Okay." Zack said. "Now spill."
"I don't exactly have the best relationship with my parents... after my brother died, they basically shut down. My mom got a second job, to stay busy. My dad was always drinking. Sometimes he would be gone for days at a time. When Caden died... they completely forgot they had a second child. If my parents ever wake up and come into the land of the living, I will never forgive them. They made a 15 year old kid have to grow up and be an adult for herself. To me that's unforgivable..." I take a deep breath, "So my parents are crap parents... you're turn. Now spill..." I repeated his previous words. He laughed.
"Okay... you know how I was a boxer, right?" I nodded, "The last time I had a fight, the dude I fought hit me in the head, right by my eye, so many times I couldn't even see out of my eye. Now if I get hit in the head hard... I will go blind in my one eye."
"Why do you fight then? If you might go blind. Why do you still fight?" I asked.
"Because it's what I do. I'm good at it." As Zack said the second part he smiled cockily at me.
"Yes you are." I said. Me saying that reminded me of Isaac from teen wolf saying 'yes you are' to Scott when he was asking if he was the hot girl. I laughed at my thoughts. Zack looked at me weird.

Sorry i took so long to update. I'm just kinda in a mood where I don't feel like writing very much. I usually sit down with my computer for an hour and write a chapter all at once, I've been writing this one for about a week. I finally finished in geography class. Which I am still in. I dislike geography very much. ~Cassie
