Briar Brightly is not much of anything. She doesn't have any specific talents, not popular and she's not much of a people person. She would prefer to spend her days doing what she loves... which is training, the only thing she is something of.

So far this morning has been pretty uneventful. It's a weekend so I don't have classes and training isn't until later. All I've done so far is wake up and get ready for the day. I also made plans with Zack. We're gonna get lunch before training.
Right now though I am sitting in my room with Tori, since she doesn't have plans for a few hours and she wanted to get to know me a little. We're playing 21 questions.

"What's your full name?" Tori asked me with a large smile on her face.
"Briar Brianna Brightly" I said.
"Briar Brianna Brightly? Do your parents have a thing with the letter B or something?" She asked laughing.
"For me they did. My brothers whole name was Caden Aiden Brightly." I said laughing a little at my brothers name. The smile slowly fell from Tori's face as she asked me another question.
"What-what exactly happened... to your brother. I mean, h-how did he die exactly? She asked it a little hesitant, not knowing how I would react. I gave her a small sad smile as I looked up.
"It was my turn to ask a question" I said jokingly. "No it's okay, it's not exactly a secret. You could go on the internet and look up his name and you'd get your answer.." I took a breath before continuing. "One night Caden went out with his girlfriend Alice, they went out to dinner and a movie. On their way home a drunk driver hit them. He hit the drivers side of the car. Caden was driving... he didn't die immediately, he survived the trip to the hospital, but their was internal bleeding. And he was losing too much blood from physical wounds.. in the end it was just too much on him and his heart failed..." I was looking down the whole time I told the story. I knew if I looked up there would be pity all over her face. I don't like pity. I don't like serious things either, I've never been a serious person. The only time I've ever been serious was when Caden died and a few months after. Every time something serious happens it reminds me of that horrible time in my life. I looked up when I said the next part. "On a happier note, Alice lived. She has a baby now. A little boy, he's super cute. She named him Caden."
After I said that, there was a knock on the door. Before I could get up to answer the door Tori sprang up from where she was sitting and ran for the door. I rolled my eyes at her antics.
"Why hello there stranger, how may I help you?" She asked leaning against the door.
"Hey" Zack said cockily, with a smirk on his face.
"Hi" I said with a big smile on my face walking up behind Tori. Tori turned her head to look at me weirdly.
"Ready to go best friend?" I asked looking at Zack with the weird smile still on my face.
