They never said anything about Hell.
And people
Are the ones
Who say
"Don't believe
everything
you hear
Or say
Or see."

So I believe
That people
Made up
The thought
Of hell.
Made it up
So the children
would behave better.
Made it up
So the adults
probably won't be as abusive
as they already are.

So I believe
That when
You die,
God tells you
That Hell
Is a myth.
And that everyone sins.
And it's okay.
So just wait
So you could see for yourself.

And the pastors say
That there are lies in the Bible.
But it was true that they were lies.

But hey,
Don't believe everything you read.

Cassandra and Casey Calloway.
Sisters.
Twins, to be exact.
They loved each other more than anything.
Two peas in a pod.
Yin and Yang.
Different,
But the same.
They are 10 now.
It's been 8 years
Since they were diagnosed.
8 years
And they didn't
even know
They were dying.
8 years
That they were spoiled
And they thought
It was for no reason.
They never knew.
They didn't know why
they were in the hospital.
Or why their
Mom and Dad were crying.
Or why they were given
so much medicine.
They were next to each other.
Two separate beds.
Two separate people.
And soon,
Two separate deaths.
And when Casey's line went flat,
Cassandra was confused inside her head.
But just cried.
And so did the parents.
Sitting on the edge.
It was worse for Cassandra.
Her sister just left.
In a snap.
Without warning.
And she doesn't even know.
She just wanted company
Her company.
Cruel.
Hopeless.
A lost cause.
Yeah. That's it.
Cassandra only has about
10 more minutes.
And nothing happened in those ten minutes.

Yeah I lied.
Turns out,
the heart monitor
Just broke for a second.
And Casey was just sleep.
Idiotic parents that
can't tell the difference
Between movement
and steadiness.
What really happened
Is that Casey
actually did die.
But
Just for a heaping 5 minutes.
And she woke up.
The doctor had
Called the parents
To the hall
To discuss some matters.
They had 2 minutes left.
Casey sat up.
And she told
Her sister:
"There is no bad place.
There's only the good place.
So just take a nap, okay?"
So Cassandra calmed down.
And went to sleep.
Casey just sat there.
Alone.
She could only hear
her sister breathing.
And the heart monitor.
And her own heart.
She finally laid down.
And told herself
That she did the right thing.
Even if her last words were lies.
