"CHAMPIONSHIP DAY MOTHERFUCKERS LET'S FUCKING GO"."Chill out Jakobi" I said."Yo I'm just ready to hit somebody bro" said Jakobi."Same but still damn"."Dude you okay your like moving and shit in your sleep you look like your having a seizure is it the bus or something?"."Nah Zach it was just a bad dream" I said. I had been thinking about that night when Jakobi died. I see him almost everywhere I go. He would have loved to be on this huge charter bus on the way to the huge game. His mom would have loved to see him there to. I thought about everything that went down that night and I realized. The guy that was holding Jakobi never died. He only got knocked out and there was only one body other than Jakobi's on the scene. That means he got away. I remembered looking down at him whenever he got knocked out by Jakobi right before the gunshot. I spent about an hour remembering his face. Then it came to me, the guy had a huge scar across his upper left forehead across the top of his nose to his lower right part of the jawbone. He had a gold necklace that said A.T. I had no idea what A.T. could stand for. I fell back asleep not having any further thoughts about the situation. When I woke up everybody except for Zach Barton was still asleep. I checked my phone and it was 8:00 a.m. Only 10 hours until gametime. We were still a whole state away from the football field so I decided to sleep more. I finally was awoken about 6 hours later by my coach. He asked me if I was ready and if I had mind clear of all other thoughts aside from football. I said yes sir and stood up and walked off the bus. We were in the locker rooms preparing for the biggest game of our lives. None of us came to lose without a fight. We were either winning with effort or winning with the scoreboard. Our apponents were the Arlington Tigers. They were my enemy ever since I started playing football. I fucking hated the Arlington Tigers. The locker room never was quiet except for now. Everybody was looking out at the field from the locker room. It was a beautiful thing to look at. Fresh cut pure green grass with white marks to represent yards. The great lord up above had gifted us with this opportunity. You could hear highschoolers chanting, the bands playing, the commentators talking. We had all worked our asses off for this. Finally it was time 6:00 had finally came. We all ran out and hit the cieling on our way out. Running through a big panther head with cannons shooting, cheerleaders cheering, highschoolers running with flags that say Bartlett Panthers on them. The game began with a kickoff to us. We returned the ball about 30 yards. I was starting, so right at the end of the rush I ran onto the field. At this moment I felt like I was with my family and we were fighting for the one member that had fallen. Since our team had an amazing run game we ran it on the first play, I blocked and ran and took out this one guy by ramming him to the ground with my shoulder pad as the runningback ran it for a touchdown on the first play. I loved hitting the shit out of people and watching them struggle to get up. Brings joy to my heart. Through the rest of the first and second quarter we had scored 4 touchdowns and Arlington had scored 2. Then the 3rd quarter came. We kicked off the ball to Arlington and knocked the shit out of their returner. We played very good defense and made them punt it to us. We passed the ball 5 times and finally made it to the inzone. We made a toucchdown with a run play and then got the extra point which ended the 3rd quarter. Now it was the 4th quarter we all held up 4 fingers. This is the quarter that means everything. We were almost absolutely sure that we had won this game until Arlington really tried. They had tied the game with 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter. They did an onside kick which was a mistake because we got the ball at the 50 yard line. Finally this was it, the time to put it all the work from the whole year and just straight up plow down Arlingtons defense. They had pushed us down to the 10 second mark. I was pissed, I was not taking the L. They pushed us and eventually the 4th quarter was over and we went into overtime since the score was tied. We got the ball and we pushed from our 30 yard line to their 10 yard line. We had 47 seconds to score. We pushed play by play. They pushed us to 4 and 1. We went for it on 4th down this was a risky play. I was still super pissed and ready to run over people. I told the runningback to just get behind me when the quarterback gives him the ball and he asked me if I was sure. I asked him if he wanted to win and he stepped back and got prepared. The quarterback snapped the ball and everything went into slow motion. The runningback got the ball and ran at me. I put my head into my guys chest and forced him into the ground the runningback dove and got the 1st down with 36 seconds remaining. We passed and it got slapped down by a defender. We ran it and we got minus yards. We did a tight end play so I was going to have to catch it. I ran and slanted and had a bullet pass to the chest and I caught it but got hit before the 1st down. Finally it was 4th and goal. 10 seconds remaing, the runningback ran it and got hit so hard he fumbled it but when it hit the ground he got hit so hard that it popped up in the air right into my hands. I ran to the left and towards the inzone as fast as I could. I could see this linebacker running at me and he was about to hit me so I dove and I barely tipped the sandbag on the inzone and the ref said it was a touchdown the Bartlett Highschool Panthers win the championship. We got this huge trophy that had a football at the top that said Highscool Football Champions. I held it above everybody and looked up at the sky and held 4 fingers up and the rest of the team did the same. That was all for Jakobi. As I walked out I saw something gold reflect on my helmet I looked up and saw a guy with a golden necklace that said A.T. on it. He got into his car and sat. I ran to my car got in and got ready to follow this bastard. As I got ready I realized that A.T. stood for Arlington Tigers. This guy was a football player.
