Dawson went to school at Bon Lin Elementary in Bartlett Tennessee. At second grade he found out from one of his friends that he was able to play peewee football. At that time he couldn't even imagine how it felt to be on an actual football team. Dawson asked his dad if he could play peewee football. His dad said that Dawson could play if he could find a team. Dawson didn't wait for his dad to put it off for like eight weeks just so that he could ask again. Dawson hunted and asked friends about teams nearby. The Ellendale Bears was the first ever team Dawson played on. He was a starting running back and he was proud of it. Since it was his first year he didn't really care what position he was as long as he was on a field designed for the best sport in America he was okay. Dawson couldn't figure out why he loved football so much. His first game he made 4 touchdowns and 12 first downs. For a kid that was freaking amazing but Dawson wasn't done he never really was. Dawson made use that the Bears made it to the championship. The game was slow and he fought every second of it. The other team has another running back that Dawson wasn't very happy with. Let's just say that their running back was trying to make Dawson look like a bench warmer. Final play of the game Dawson had his chance to show the other running back what was up. Dawson had a fine route that he knew he could make an easy touchdown off of. His quarterback handed him the ball and he ran and right before crossing the line of scrimage he threw it back. The quarterback caught and got chased by three huge lineman. Dawson panicked and yelled to the quarterback to lob it up. The quarterback swung his arm up sending the ball into the air. Dawson ran as faster than he ever had having the fact that the quarterback overthrew it. Dawson dove for it and caught it at the one yard line. He stretched his arms out as far as he could but it didn't reach the in zone. Sadly they lost the championship 24 to 22. Dawson didn't want to be sad about it so he was determined to make up for it he didn't play football again until 7th grade.
