Me and Jakobi were walking to my car from football practice. Jakobi asked "Why do you have such a broke car"."It's not broke I picked it out for my dad when I was little and he handed it off to me"."It's still broke"."Get the hell in...jesus christ atleast I have a car". We both laughed. I went to my side of the car and as I grabbed my keys someone grabbed me by the hair and put a knife up to my neck."Don't you fucking move", said the stranger. I looked down at the side of my car and saw that he had a gun in his pants. Then I looked through the window and Jakobi had a gun to his head. The stranger holding Jakobi brought Jakobi over to my side and kicked the back of his leg so that he was on the ground. I was shaking and my teeth were chattering. I asked why they were doing this and they replied with a fist to the back of my head. He hit me so hard I fell on the ground. I was laying on the ground when I looked up and saw that Jakobi had his eyes closed and was breathing hard. Jakobi looked at me and mouthed the words don't worry. Jakobi turned and punched the guy holding him and all of a sudden the guy behind me reached for his gun and shot Jakobi through the back of the head. Jakobi had hit his guy so hard that he got knocked out cold. I reached over quickly in anger to grab my keys and I stabbed the guy that was still on his two feet right in the neck repeadetly. Then I turned to the car and unlocked the door with the blood covered key. I sat in the car for a couple of minutes traumatized. I looked at my arm and took a good look at the time. It was 15 till 10:00. I reached into my pocket and took my phone out it was almost dead but with the last 3% I called 911 and told them what happened, when it happened, and where it happened. I drove into my neighborhood after police arrived. I passed my house and went to Jakobi's house. I knocked on the door and told his mom what happened she fell to the ground and started crying I told her that he did it to make sure I stayed alive. If he didn't do what he did I don't think I would still be alive. Two months had passed and it was his funeral. They left his casket open and I could barely look at his dead corpse without feeling like I could've done something. I knew I was going to do something though. I was going to fight for him and I was going to fight for him on the football field. That championship was ours. For Jakobi.
