Hey guys ...Enjoy the first chapter!!

Latika's Point of View

It was like any other day. I woke up unusually tired. I was stretching myself till I saw the sun gleaming through the glass window. "Oh God! Am I late again?" I exclaimed and got ready hurriedly. I still hadn't got used to living by myself. I put on my pink blouse and my favourite grey straight pants, stuffed my sling bag with my wallet, metro card, fruits to keep me from starving & a water bottle, grabbed my laptop bag, some files that I had been analyzing the previous night, brushed my hair, locked the door, left a duplicate key under the rug for my maid to do the house chores in my absence. "Auto!" I shouted at the one passing by with my hand waving straight at him. He jolted his auto to a stop, I asked him to take me to the metro station, he said he would charge fifty and I couldn't negotiate thanks to the urgency I had been in.

I rushed inside the station to catch the train which had just arrived, I was running endlessly to find a relatively empty coach until I tripped over and banged onto someone and his latte fell on his blue shirt. "SHIT SHIT!!!!!" He exclaimed. He glared at me, before he could open his mouth to swear at me I pulled my stuff and entered the coach. He followed me. He held his Starbucks skimmed milk latte on one hand, and cleaned his shirt with the other. Then he attended a call on his iPhone before he resumed glaring at me. I avoided his gaze by skimming through my papers.

The metro was filled with acquainted faces; we didn't know each other but were frequent travelers and caught the metro at similar intervals. There was a kind of comfort in this familiarity especially when one is new to the city. Though my encounter with this seemingly arrogant hunk wasn't on a high note, I was glad I was midst familiar people. The girl with golden brown hair & red streaks was one such traveler. She wore hep casuals, seemed around 18, wore her hair in a loose bun with strands casually resting on her supple sun-kissed skin, her chocolate brown eyes were in a state of trance as she seemed engrossed in her novel and music. Her trendy canvas shoes and embroidered sling bag made her look like someone who hated predictability and mainstream dressing. She seemed a rebel of sorts, a woman who would prefer to curve out her own identity than to aspire to become like someone famous. She seemed to have a very sorted and an independent life. Then there was the dude who seemed to be equally perplexed by her. He seemed older though with his engineering drawing tools, he was definitely an engineering student but not a mundane one for sure. He wore his earphones to listen to his own collection; he wore baggy jeans with ManU jersey which made him a football fan. He was boyishly handsome and must have had been in a relationship off and on. He couldn't take his eyes off her but she was too engrossed to notice. Then there was the hunk, I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him. He was everything that I disliked in a guy. It seemed gym was his second home, he carried expensive gadgets, seemed like a rich brat to me, wore high end oxford cut shoes, his LP attire wasn't frugal either. He supported an Armani watch, iPhone 7, the Bluetooth enabled earphones etc. He was such a show-off! He didn't seem like a suitable metro traveler, his taste and attire didn't go well with the commoners. He seemed to know he was gorgeous looking as he couldn't take his eyes off the glass door which embedded his reflection. I sighed at him. They were all the usual travelers. But I noticed someone really unusual during my travel. A tall and a lean figure rested on the pole, he wore a black hat covering his eyes, leaving only his jaw with a French beard visible. He had an electric guitar resting beside him while he continuously chewed on a narcotic gum whose packet casually hung from his jeans pocket. He wore black leather jacket on a pair of black jeans with a black t shirt, he stood completely still while his jaw moved rhythmically. I hadn't noticed him earlier; he seemed new to me and very different from the rest...
