None of the New York citizens would've dreamed about the Poseidon sinking in the heart of the Atlantic.
Poseidon, the largest passenger cruise in the possession of the American government, departed from NYC (New York City) to London. People at the London Port, waited anxiously for the arrival of the cruise. But the Poseidon was entitled to complete its journey before it could make its first stop. The cruise exploded in the heart of the Atlantic, sending a tremor to the distant lands.
Malfunctioning of SONAR and other navigable instruments, created an unpleasant destiny for the ship to collide with an oil tanker that was set on the same route. The casualty rate was hundred out of hundred. The cruise burned to ashes and not even a single soul survived the disaster out of five hundred passengers and the crewmembers. It was a black day for the New York citizens.
Government provided lump sum compensations to the family of the victims, to prevent riots and protect the faith of people on democracy. Criticisms about the negligence of the government spread like forest fire throughout the country, but it was extinguished within a short span of time.
Money could've been a form of compensation for the other families, but it wasn't and it could never be to the Hamiltons and the Turners who already had plenty of it.
The Hamiltons owned a group of twelve hospitals in and around New York. Amelia Hamilton, daughter of the Hamilton group's founder, lost her entire family in the disaster.
The Turners belonged to the proprietary race from the period of Monarchy. Abiding to their family tradition, the successors of their family never carried out their ancestry business. They moved to new areas and started new businesses on their own earnings.
Will Turner was a successor of such a family. He and his twin brother Jake Turner moved away from their parents at Washington during high school. Will became the proprietor of a successful jewellery after completing his education in NYC, whereas Jake changed the history of the Turners, by discontinuing his college and becoming an off-road bike racer.
Will married his first love from high school- Selena, who saw the real Will through the fog of silence surrounded by him. They had the beautiful girl child and everything were going really fine, until Selena waved a last goodbye before boarding the Poseidon.
