"You should have finished it last week, Ais, but it's probably easier for you to push yourself and cram now knowing that the presentation is already tomorrow. Right?" I murmured, sarcastically scolding myself. "Good decision. Fantastic. Procrastinate pa."

I stared at a pile of books that I took from the shelves, which I'm not sure might or may not be helpful. I just picked almost every book that has 'literature' on the title, though. I'm not going to read all this, am I? I'm in the library right now, and some folks here are staring at me strangely. Is it really new for them to see me here? Well, I can't blame them; I have never been here before. If only Chloe hadn't told me to go here, I wouldn't be here. I'd rather rely on the information I gathered and...my own gut—than spend more time researching, you know. However, since my reporting partner is my bitter yet adorable foe, I can't mess this up, or else...she will undoubtedly blame me and, worse, haunt me in my dream forever. No way in hell. I will never give her an advantage kahit cute siya.

Pasalamat nga siya...cute siya sa paningin ko.

I checked my phone. Wala pa rin siyang reply sa message ko. I told her na nandito ako sa library pero hindi niya pa rin sini-seen. I really despise her behavior. She acts cool or whatever all the time. Kahit ako yung mas mukhang artista sa aming dalawa, siya itong nagf'feeling artista. The audacity of that bum. Dapat nga magpasalamat pa siya kasi bawat bukas niya ng kanyang inbox, magandang view ang nakikita niya—my pretty face. Pero no, she doesn't care because she's an ungrateful, insolent human!

Err! I hate you, Mr. Carter! You old man, why do you have to pair me with that devil?!

I glanced at the entrance. "She won't probably come."

Ang sabi niya kung may time ako, pumunta ako ng library at maghanap ng additional information tungkol sa report namin—last reporters kami, by the way—pero wala siyang sinabi na tutulungan niya ako at sasamahan niya ako rito. Kaya naman, there's no reason for me to wait. Correct? Besides, why did I say yes? I should've said no. I should have told her she should be the one doing all these things since I'm prettier. Yup, in my vocabulary, looks always matter. And in terms of our academic ranks, I'm also on top of her.

Jeez. That should make sense to her.

I checked my phone again. "She's not really coming? Wala naman kaming class, ah."

I'm sad tuloy.

"No, you're not, Akaizha." I slightly slapped my cheek. "What are you talking about?" I pouted, mumbling. "You're okay."

Of course, I am!

I took a deep breath.

"Okay. Where should I start?" Kinuha ko isa-isa ang magkakapatong na books, then I lined them up horizontally according to size. After that, pumili ako ng isa. "Hmm." I picked the one that looks brand new. "Literature of the World?" I shrugged. "Sounds too much, but alright."
